The fat stem plant i put pictures up of is lady cane. The LC is how you grow fat stems. This plant is a serious bushy plant. Not the densest bud, and it never wants to stop flowering. I picked this pheno from seed for its tremendous growth. The shit pheno I have was selected from seed for its candy ass smell. Like sugar cookied and gummi bears. Or a dank confectioinary/bakery. My plan in whole with my breeding is to use the sweetooth crosses of both the shit and the LC, find a dominant LC cross male, and a dominant shit cross female and then backcross those 2 plants into stable winning pheno. So like a LC x Shit x ST 1.1 (WW x AK47). Prolific, fast, resiny, and stinky. Did I mention the end result will get you high as a bird?

Soil it grows excellent. Always the tallest plant until you top it, then it makes a mushroom head shaped bush. Stretches like armstong after 12/12 flip.
One single plant under 2 600watt HPS in hydroton ebb and flow yielded close to 2 pounds. Outdoors in a greenhouse I heard it outgrew every other plant (3-4 lbs or more), I dont do much myself.

Ya, I'll have to run through a lot of f1's to find the best LCxST male and shitxST female soon. Might be I use a ST dominant female, who knows? The shit does take a little long to flower. Hopefully the ST influence in the LCxST speeds up the LC also. I'm going to select the most prolific growing male I find, and the sweetest, fastest, most sticky female I find from the f1's. The more people looking for that prize pheno and mother the better I say. Then I'm going to use the same process of selection for the ST cross-crosses ending in my LCxSHITxST f2 stew.

I'm doing this as I have a passion for weed and it has been a long time dream to make a strain of pot and get some heads in the right place. Not to sell beans and make money. Just to bring some more dank into the world.

That's what makes you a seed breeder instead of a seed maker. I respect that. Cannabis would be at a much greater level if more people like you put your heads deep into it for the quality of cannabis and not the sales. I'm down for painting on pollen in my garden if it'll help the cause.
This was in my cards eventually anyway as I heard breeding in your own room adapts the resulting seeds to your grow room's environment. Is that true?

I feel you man, I want to grow becuase Im facinated with what I smoke...hell plants period facinate me, more so hydroponics just gets my greas going.....plus its fun to watch all your hard work pay off when she finaly comes down to please ya haha.....I

So my op goes something like this
x2 4 gal buckets, 53 gal. Res,
Bio bucket set up.
Veging I have x4 4ft floros or I can go with a 400w MH and the floros
Flowering I have a choice of either 400 or 600 HPS with the addition of 7 4ft floros 3 cools and 4....i forgot the others names....Im debating on wether to go with 1k or 1500 watts worth of light for flowring
My room is 3x3x8
walls are lined to the teeth with mylar.
Ok so pretty much the entire space is lite, 2 floros on both sides and 3 on the back wall and the HPS above.
My goal is to grow a tree worth about 2-4lbs or two 2lb trees...if all goes well...mind you im really anal when it comes to details so I have planned this out to the last detail....and I know plans dont always go as they are planned but Im hopefull anyays....
My question is should I dedicate the space to just one big old tree or two medium sized trees??

Hit us up if you have any biobucket questions. Our system is a Krusty Bucket/bio-bucket hybrid, recirculating hydro + lava rock is our specialty. My advice is to use plenty of silica, beneficial bacteria (Oregonism XL for the bacteria, or course, this is the NW thread), and get a res chiller to bring your temps down to 68-69. That, plus plenty of dissolved oxygen (waterfall) is the ticket.

The 503 is too small not to rendezvous. Do you know any festivals/OMMP gatherings soon? We'll be ready with some Sugar Berry (which is [Brother's Grimm White Widow x Genius] x DJ Short Blueberry) come mid April. Like th3d4nk said, she's a very very heavy girl, sativa leaves but a 56 day finish. Great branching, and a complex berry aroma that changes every day during these last few weeks. I'm not too up on when the NORML/THC Clinic/OMMP meetings are, all I know is they took them out of the bar on Hawthorne when the smoking ban went into effect, 1/1/2009.

That's the kind of selflessness that makes me love the NW. In that picture with the coke-can stem, is the system DWC, E&F, or drip? I can't wait for root porn pics. I just picked up a bottle of H&G Roots Excelurator, I'm hoping for some fuzzy white production.

Also, Hazy, I hate to be a bearer of bad news, but I love to provide people with information when I can: indoor grows rarely yield more than 50 grams per square foot. With that formula, you should set your goal to around 1 lb for your 3x3 foot closet. Flouros plus a 600w HPS bulb will get you there!

I really don't ever intend on selling the end product. Well maybe...haha. Just spreading a new dank strain to the crew. If I ever stabilize an awesome strain only then would I consider a profit.
Mash - let me do a seed run first. I'll be sure to save plenty of pollen off the ST male we choose. Were going to flower them out and choose the ST father by resin production and smell. If I have a few thousand of the first f1 crosses I'm realistically not going to test through many more. The next set of f'1 back crosses might need to have a few seed crops. We'll see how many I get, I still dont know what all to expect.

It was E/F. The fill and drain had roots growing 12-24 inches down the hose. So it was turned into a top flooding recirculating system The root porn will be a root mat shaped like a 14 gallon rubbermaid. Guarenteed.
I'm going to run Roots xl, budXL, and the shooting powder new run. Let me know your results!
I've noticed I grow much fuzzier hairier whiter roots when I flood my hydroton only medium systems very often. 15 on 60 off. As a side note.

Hazy, I would recommend a 600 watt for you closet. A SOG in a 3x3 table if possible 36 plants. A scrog system if not. Expect 1-1.5 and .75-1.25 respectively if done well. Not for your first grow, a reasonable goal though.
