I am reaching the harvest for my second outdoor cycle of 2014.
The last two weeks have seen night time temperatures around 36° to 26 °F. The last two night were 26°F. The day time temperatures have been around 67° to 50° F. The arctic blast that dumped snow and ice on the northen U.S. states, has cooled things down here in the south. I have a feeling things will warm up again long enought to get a bit more maturity from the plant and finish them all on time.

Afghani genes are part of the reason some of the plants have done so well.

Certain plants can definitely handle cold better than others. Good luck on the harvest!

I have seen plants survive snow here in Michigan and temps just above freezing. Long term cold snaps with low night temps have been known to effect potency as well as yield .. Hope it warms up for your sake .

@ xxPeacePipexx : When you say the cold affects potency, please elaborate. Does it diminish potency or increase? Plants that can survive snow are mind-blowing.

Last year we had two 26 degree nights and a lot of other cold nights. Some plants went 2 weeks past the first 26 degree night and were ok. I had a Goat Wreck Haze go until Nov 20 and chopped it after a 24 degree night and wished I would have taken her the day before because the bud was mushy like after lettuce freezes and thaws.

Yep, that is something that greatly concerns me. Did you harvest in the sunlight hours or was it dark? Did the cold diminsh potency?
