Purple Zamal x A5 Haze

Here is mine at 63days since first pistils appeared. So for people who count "from switch", she might have already finished week 10. But I switched her to 11/13 on day 15 from seed, so I counted from first pistils. Which was actually vegetative day 34 or 35.
She might finish earlier than expected.
I did run into some nutrient issues, not the least because the Golden Tiger v3 lady next to her has such an incredibly low appetite compared to her. It was a bit of a challenge for a beginner like me to meet the needs of both so far. PZA5H has been really hungry while I have a severely overfed on nitrogen GTv3.

I had very warm and humid conditions over the summer in the basement room where the tent is located. Zamal Bliss took almost 16 weeks to mature. The tall Purple Zamal dominant phenotype was the first (PZamxA5)xGT80 plant to ripen (after 20 weeks of flowering, I had expected more like 14). The other two are still blooming happily (now week 22) and are forming a lot of long foxtails. The LED lights have been set to 11/13 hours (light/dark) since switching to flowering lighting, and to 10/14 hours (light/dark) in the last 8 weeks or so.
I had the first smoke test a few days ago (after 10 days in the shed the first flowers were smokable). Of course, this is not really meaningful yet, but the trend is (exactly to my liking) clearly going in the invigorating, energetic direction, at the beginning (first hour) quite focused, later physically a bit heavier (which may have been due to the late evening hour) and psychedelic (another hour). Not a heavy one the next morning. So it will still take a while before I have a representative impression of all three phenotypes.
The smell of the flowers from the lanky plant was not citrusy but subtle, spicy and floral.
Regarding the extremely long flower ripening time, I wonder if the humid hot conditions trigger this or if Haze, Thai or Zamal genes actually appear here.

Congrats on bringing your indoor sativas all the way to the finish line despite their very long flowering time, @paisajedehierba! Usually outdoor sativa lines grown indoors under high temperatures (typically in summer grows without air conditioning) tend to reflower excessively and extend their flowering period even further. Nonetheless, you managed to get some very nice colas with plenty of purple Zamal influence :) They should smoke great now after a good cure!

Done at about 14 weeks 11/13.Some late nanners.Surprisingly during drying, the smell turned to intense catpiss .The first samples (that get stronger day by day) indicate a lot more potent individual than last time (although after 6-9 months the other one was really great) .I think the first leaned more to Zamal while this one is more A% leaner. When the bud is crumbled luckily the zamal smell with some dutch haze comes to the front.I think this hybrid deserves an official release! (If you do please make more zamal x malawi as well hehehe)

Love the way you grew this second one @Dentex :tiphat: excellent growing skills. She finished with the purpling and foxtailing of purple Zamal mother, although volum and weight are certainly more A5 Haze side. Cat piss in this case comes from Haze. Did the terpene profile evolve with the curing ?
Glad you believe is good enogh for a release, enjoy ;)

Great looking effort indeed and cola @Common Sense for your first time with this genetics, many A5 hybrids are difficult to keep green during flowering. Looks she's producing a new reflowering with plenty new milky trichomes :)

Hung her up to dry on day 88. Amber trichomes started showing up all over the place and she really slowed down her water consumption. Also found one spot with bananas after harvest.

Nothing to worry about. Smells like roses.
Very impressed by the size and weight of the colas. This was my first grow with an A5 Haze hybrid. Found her a little bit tricky to grow. Had the feeling she was sensitive to overwatering, but hungry for nutrients. Overall, no major problems growing her on soil with mostly organic fertilizer. Just in the last weeks, I switched to a mineral based 4-7-8 NPK product. Temps were 25-27°C during the day, 20°C at night. 11/13 from day 15 after seed. First pistils appeared on day 34.
My in tent vent died along the way and I built a new one with 3 x 14" PC vents and an adjustable power supply. Like that one much better. Quieter, more even airstream. I felt she liked it better as well, the clip on vent was probably too strong.
