I see lvpk becoming the predominant strain in many growing circles right now. Im about 46 days on my first LVPK right now cant wait to try her. Her growth reminds me of a sour bubble on steroids.

Las Vegas Purple Kush and Kyle Kushman's Purple Kush are said to be one and the same.

As Quoted by an internet source

" Kyle Kushman's "Purple Kush" is the plant that made him famous as a photograph of it made the cover of the "New Yorker" magazine about 12 years ago. It was not a weed publication and the article just stated how much real money is made by indoor gardening based on the black market forces and the technology that were in place then (grow lights, seeds, hydro systems, etc). In the article it is stated by the grower (assumably Kyle) that the plant was found in a group of Northern Lights x Purple Indica seeds. Kyle was living out East at the time and soon became a writer for High Times Magazine."

This info is taken from the internet, as such take it with a grain of salt. I have not verified the info posted above, this is the story posted on several sites. I'm not sure how old the info is and could not find the cover pic of the New Yorker.

The purple kush that kushman had on the NYer cover was a purple kush cross that he made, and selected for color, I think using an afgani, NL could be in there. I'll get the genetics Thursday and post here for that. I do not know the specifics of LVPK so won't comment. Looks great from what 1love has shown.

I might be wrong but the legend I heard Kyle didnt breed the purple kush but found the cut upon popping some purple pakistani x northern lights seeds. What ever the case she is a beast nugs are smaller than alot of my girls but they are rock hard and everywhere.

lvpk is good because it finishes QUICK... and its great smoke as soon as it dries...

only downside is yield.

Uk PurpleKush

Uk PurpleKush

Hi there guys:tiphat:
I was blessed with a uk Purple Kuh cutting a couple of months ago.
Beautiful plant not hard to grow but with a big learning curve in order to get the best out of her. If the smoke is to my likings i will keep it a little longer in my grows in to see if i can´t get a better yield.
Here´s a couple of pics from her

Kyle Kushman's Purple Kush equals "a" Purple Kush x Northern Lights then he took that cross and hit it with Hash Plant.

Another thing to remember is that Kyle Kushman never took clones, he only grew from seed.

Thats not true at all. Many kyle kushman clone only strains are on the scene. He did work with seeds but kept clones of all his best selections. Stawberry cough, lvpk and many more elites came from his garden.

I'm looking for some info on the lineage of Purple Kush and if anyone knows any breeder that has it in seed form or if this is a clone only strain. I had a chance to sample some recently and found it very distinctive smelling and tasting. I don't remember the high being anything special, but the taste and odor was of a coffee/floral incense which was very dense smelling and tasting.

Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks.

As far as I know PK is clone only and comes from the East/Afgan area.. There are many varieties of PK but the true PK is extremely dank and sticky.. Has purlple undertones in the bud and another fav. is Lavander X PK very sweet. I heard the Dr Greenthumb does a seed.. peace out Headband707:tiphat:

I'll ask kushman tonight, we have some work to do.

Strawberry cough came from an outdoor garden on the east coast. He discovered it, but did not breed it. It was supposedly bred over 20 years in a strawberry patch. It smells like strawberries.

He got purple kush and crossed it, back crossed it to the pk again, and selected for color. Im not sure about that, I'll ask tonight. That was the famous pic from back in the day.

What other elites came from kushmang? Please do tell so I can ask him if it is true.

I'll double check this post, iirc it is close or correct... Every time I go there I get my memory erased with rips of stardawg out of the giant aqualab bong.

And he is a seed poppin fool. But does both now. Strawberry was a cutting by the time it got to him, and has been ever since. There never will be a strawberry cough seed, the males are long gone. The story goes, when he move out here (CA) he dropped cuts off at various locations along the way. The cough has been running ever since.

Always nice to see rumors put to rest and the truth rize from the ashes;). Do tell, lol. I love me some LVPK regardless if its the KKPK or not. Ill soon be starting some LVPK s1's I made and LVPK x Blue Moon Rocks and LVPK x Neville's Haze from friends as-well as running the KKSC for the first time (circumstances haven't let me run her yet although Ive had her for a while). What a great community were apart of here at ICmag. Peace, pot and karma. One Love:ying:

I would love to here what kyle has to say. I would squash alot of rummors for sure but then again alot of what is said by growers and breeders themselves stretches the truth.
