Purple Haze x Malawi, Flowering Day 20 under 11,5 hours of light.

No sign of flowering till now.
I guess the Purple Haze is strong in this one

Yep, looks very haze dominant! It will take a while until she reacts to flowering, especially if you are growing her from seed.

hy dubi. why when we take a clone of a pure sativa the clone can flower with a higher photoperiod time than a plant grown from seed?

I lowered light schedule to from 11,5 to 11/13.

After 18 weeks flowering I think she's about done. Guessing this is the Haze side of the cross.

Got a clone from this plant and PHM1 I'm vegging now. I had some issues along the way with both plants. PHM1 got cut early due to mites and they also had some overfeeding issues. Hoping the next run I do a little better. This was my first legit sativa grow so I've been learning along the way.

Here are my Purple Haze x Malawi #1 at flowering day 46.
Started with 11,5 hours of light and doing 11/13 now.

These are from a few days before chop at around 20 weeks. Can't wait to sample some and I probably won't.

Got a little purple in the calyxes. Gonna run the clone from this one pretty soon and maybe hit it with some pck pollen I've got in the fridge.

Purple Haze x Malawi #1, Flowering Day 63
103 cm height, topped and bondaged
10 Liter of soil.
They need more nutrients than i expected and still need some more.
Last feedings was (EC of water is 0,3)
EC 0,7
EC 0,6
EC 0,7
Normally i don´t really need to feed extra in this soil in the first weeks. (But she actually has pretty much her own cabinet and get´s a lot of light).

Purple Haze x Malawi #1 is at Flowering Day 74 now at 11/13 light schedule.
Trichs get milky now, Leafs go yellow and hairs more and more red.

She needs a bit more time for sure, but advice about best harvest time for this strain are very welcome

Purple Haze x Malawi #2 from Clone, Flowering Day 43

Terp, ODH, EB.. are you harvesting by time/days? is there any 60x micro scoping tricomes: clear>cloudy>red by %?

This is a week before harvest. It had almost all cloudy trichomes. I waited for 90% of the pistils to turn brown after that. My plant wasn't looking very good by that point. 20 weeks flowering.

Got this one going now. I think it's a little more on the Malawi side.

i had two in my last grow and this one is a killer!
she is faster but has this haze fewer... killer high sometimes too strong for day smoke...

How many hours of light are you running ? How long did you girl need to be ripe ?

My #1 (hazey pheno?) has very little resin so far.
#2 has already much more, even if she is one month behind, covering all the small and medium leaves with sugar
PHM #3 got in flowering today, huuuuge leaves (more Malawi?), pics are coming later.

well i use 11/13 now since 3 weeks... day 70 in flower... i use organic soil and feed little organic bloom & PK from bac but she needs much more than the other plants... so that's why she is so yellow... she is from clone and with 11/13 i'm sure she is 3 weeks faster than from seed! So i just feed her little N and some PK with EC around 1.2...
my experience was if you let her dry out a bit and feed her not too much she becomes yellow @ the end like in normal outside life... than she produces more resin... and that's what we are looking for ;-)
I use also a dehumidifier and my humidity is around 45% right now... so that helps also...

Purple Haze x Malawi #1, Flowering day 84
Buds are quite small, but the plant branches a lot, this equalize the yield somewhat.
The plant doesn´t have a lot of resin and doesn´t smell strong in the cabinet.
I cutted a litte bud for a smoke test tomorrow, wow, the smell is wonderful.

Somewhat sweet which reminds me on Malawi x PCK on the first moment, then you smell different and very nice undertones.
The description on the Ace Website get´s the point very well, blackberry liquour, spices with citric touches. Yummi

Purple Haze x Malawi #2, flowering day 59 (on the left side pheno #1 is in the picture)
Guess this is a more low yielding phenotype But beautiful plant anyway.
Even if i have grown it from clone she is nearly as big as #1 which has been grown from seed.

The buds of this plant are very different from pheno #1

The buds have much more resin, growing different from #1 and the hairs are already got red long ago. I´m used that they stay white util the end and then turn brown, this plant is quite different.

I´m very confused by this plant, don´t have a glue how ripe this one is or long it take, the brown pistils showing up so early are very confusing
Trichs are 50% cloudy already.
