I’m very excited about these..

Purest Indica" a.k.a. the Steve Murphy Afghan IBL (Inbred Line) Regular Seeds

I contacted Todd McCormick and he says it contains zero cbd, could be the last remaining Afghani uncontaminated by industrial hemp.
Has anyone tried it or does anyone have any good ideas how to get it to the uk? He doesn’t ship internationally.

Good morning genghis :)
I think it was originally collected in Afghanistan, looks like it may be genuine.
genuine what ?
what are you using as a gauge?
there is a lot of variation, it’s a large area with a deep and complex history.
a cross roads between north and South Asia for thousands of years.
Those three foot tall “afghanis” most likely originated far to the north

Genuine Afghani :) are you in the us? I’m looking for a currier.
The pictures I see on instagram from Afghanistan look like they have been contaminated by Dutch/USA genes. Or at least that’s what my friends says who was actually there in the 60’s.
CBD has always been in “afghani” hash plants.
‘they were not selected to be pure THC.
its Ganja that you want . CBD bred out completely.
its the old African sativas that are the best for me

If Afghani hash plants have always contained cbd then I guess this one must be an exception. I’ve never seen a zero cbd Afghani hash plant either, but I wasn’t born yet when this was collected.

when you read this, what does your BS detector tell you?

‘The seeds came to me directly from Seattle Greg in 2020. He told me that the seeds were placed in his sister's freezer in Seattle in the early 80s and were found after she passed away in 2019. His family sent the seeds to him and he got decent germination and sent some seeds to me and I reproduced them in my greenhouse.

This would be the first reproduction of these seeds in almost 40 years. “

Believe nothing you hear and half what you see these days.
I do trust my cb receptors though, they’ll know.
I also keep back up seeds in my sisters freezer, doesn’t everyone?

To add to this, if you listen to his guest appearance on the first smoke of the day podcast, you can just feel the bs.

Todds a nice guy. I don't know many people that go out of their way to make sure people have acess to information. I'd recommend his gear. I haven't grown his truest indica, but its worth a shot!
He took the time to respond to my questions even though he doesn’t ship here which I appreciate. I’m gonna try to get some across the pond, not sure how yet.

How anybody can believe this thing is a true Indica, while posting this shot as representative is beyond me. Just look at the fucking leaves:

I've recently heard that the Afghanistan, Pakistan area used to have very much variety, including cerebral strains. Now it is more known for couch-lock hash plants that we are all too familiar with, and popularly known as indica. I know nothing about that history, but I think Kush might have been considered more cerebral. I guess.
:dunno:

I do know that I grew a plant in the early 80s that I considered old school pure Afghani. It looked exactly like a picture that was published in a book with a name something like Plants of the Gods, by Richard Evans Schultes, I think. The picture of the plant came from Kandahar.

Here is the plant I grew. It wasn´t a keeper for me though I wished I had preserved it. At that time I wasn´t aware that hybridization was going to endager the incredible variety that used to exist.

I was so ignorant to pinch the top off of that plant. It prevented me from seeing it in it's natural state. Quite a specimen anyway. Very skunky.

Todd is a great dude, he has done a great job in sharing legit sourced genetics. People hate, naysay and just misinform about Todd, but if you do your due diligence and research you will see the guy is legit and the people associated with his AG project are as well.

In the book "Cannabis sativa L. - Botany and Biotechnology" by Suman Chandra · Hemant Lata, Mahmoud A. ElSohly I read that as early as 1972, "Acapulco Gold" was introduced to Afghanistan from Mexico, contaminating the cannabis landraces indica.

Cool information! I would have never thought.

It's an old story, isn't it. It has excellerated. I'm old enough to remember when air travel was less common. People who traveled used to dress up like it was a rare elite social event. Now it's like travelling by bus.

Genes from Acapulco Gold might have originated in Indonesia since that route was common in the age of sailing. A lot of line breeding has occurred since. Too bad Phylos didn't get a start 100 years earlier. The historical changes and linkages could have been mapped more precisely. It's a heck of a mix mash now.
