I am growing a mix og differnt sort's in soil, one of them is from equador, they where given to me by a freind

the plants are 20 day old, 4 day's ago i was giving them there first fertilizer, The mix was to strong and some leaf got burned, but here to day I saw that some of the equador plants had pre flower's can it be the strong N suplement that forced them to flower, I have read that you can force you sativa to flower by giving them a High N shoot, Is this what happend or something els :pointlaug a novice in sativa cultivating

here is just a pic of the room, the equadore is in the front

Many strains will show preflowers early. High N shouldn't do it, but the color spectrum of your bulbs and the number of hours the lights are on/off will be a factor. It looks like you are using a 6500k bulb, so that shouldn't be it. I'm betting strain or light timing.

If they are clones it's not unusual for them to flash their sex in veg at an early age. All of mine do. It's nothing to worry about, just veg them out and put them into 12/12 when they're ready.

I am growing an unknown outdoor strain at the moment, at it was very eraly with preflowers. I considered it a nice feature, since you can get a feeling of how many ladies you have :)

Is it me, or are those leaves screaming indica dom cross?

Sativas sometime look rather Indica in the early stages.

The daylengt is set at 18 houres so it´s not the that for sure.

- The lighting is a maxgrow dual CLF 115W and it can't be the lamp becouse I had a Haze hybrid under it last time and ditten exp that thing

MTF , it is just some seed I got from a freind, There are no sure garatee that it is not crossed- I already reget that i type pure sativa, but he told me that the bud's looked very sativa.

@ Rude dude, all The plants are started from seed

So I am left with Strain- funny I was also thinking if that could be the case

Thank fore all the reply's I am going to let them veg some more
and see what happens I will come back with some pic's and a litte rapport on how they came out

can you get a top view photo of the ones you think are sativa ?

as someone said, sativas do start off with quite fatish leaves, but about the 4th or 5th node you can see the new leaves are long and very thin.

heres some pictures of a pure sativa and a mostly indica hybrid.

first one is sativa, easy to tell the difference when theyre side by side.

Hey smokey here is first a pic only with the presumed sativas

In the next one, i put 2 of the hashplant (from a danish seed bank) strong indica they are in the bottom of the pic and to the left side :chin: .

It pretty easy to see that there is a big difference, even in length of the plant.

Another funny thing that I have puzzle abouth is the fact that the plant grown from the equador seeds where the only one where the leafs ditten "burn" from the heavy fertilizer I by accident had mixed only the hashplant's got burnt leafs

Se yaa or as we say in denmark, Farvel

i think yours are a mix of indica/sativa. i could be wrong though as after a few more nodes have grown you might end up with longer thinner leaves.

thanks fore the replies. And as you say smokeymacpot I could well be a hybrid, but let's see later in the grow how it goes.

See you

Leaves of a pure Savita are way less wide than the first picture. I am growing right now a hybrid of two pure "landrace" sativas. Hawaiian Sativa x Celestial Temple Sativa (orig in Ecuador) from Federation Breeders. Let me tell you, my leaves even as a baby plant, are half the width of your 1st picture.

the first picture is a landrace sativa from thailand. you should have spotted the sparseness and stretchyness of the plant compared to the very bushy indica hybrid.
whilst there are other sativas that have incredibly thin leaves, doesnt mean all sativas have them.
