thnx for showing interest..ill try to help you as much as i can.

well for starters i start my plants off with CFL's .. then after like a week or so.,i moved them under my 250mh.

U can flower the plants really any size.. anytime u switch the lighting to 12/12 it will begin to flower. i am gonna lst somemore and veg them more..i only gt 2 and i pray for a female. So im gonna make them as big as possible.

is it advisable to crop the top growth to make the plant grow outwards before flowering (someone told me this and i`m not sure whether to believe it or not) It does seem reasonable as he and I both have limited space to grow.

I believe what your reffering to is "TOPPING" and yes it can be done before flowering...it should be done early in veg. By cutting of the top,it will produce more shoots ,so instead of one single cola plant..u will have more.
LST is great,i love it! Its great too if u have limited space like u say,,

Im sure more people here will choose to LST over TOPPING...although you can do both.
Theres great LST and Topping info..just gotta search...If you ask Mr.KAde ,i know he loves to LST so he could really give you some good tips.

i see that you are using clear plastic cups for the youngin's..i would suggest u never use clear cups,roots dont like light and you could accidently damage your roots. AND ITS ALL ABOUT HEALTH ROOTS!!! so either tape those cups up to make it dark...or just get some dixie or beer cups that are not seethrough. just my 2cents PS. what strain ya got going?

So, I am slowly getting things together. Got an extraction fan and one for movement and have just painted the side and insides of the doors of my growroom gloss white.

As for strain........ your guess is as good as mine, I got these seeds from some weed I bought and I had the light, Then the same week I got my hands on an old wardrobe so I decided to give it a go.

I have heard from many growers that something usually goes wrong with the first grow so I thought why not start with these and if it goes wrong then I can learn from that and grow something really powerfull..cheese....white widow.......purple haze and so on.

Any help anyone can give will be really appreciated I would like to get to the stage where I am self sufficient and can stop dealing with unsavory characters.

LOL i did that 2. Wen the light penetrates the clear containers it gets moldy on the inside of the pots and youre roots start to rot.

LST and srog techniques are both intended 2 get an even canopy. The reason 4 this is so each budsite receives the same amout of light and most importantly, youre budsites on the lower branches wont be hidden in shade by the larger foliage at the top of the plant.
I think thats easyer to achieve with LST because youre branches will be more spread out and you canfine tune individual branches every 3 to 4 days to ensure a "CONSTANT" even canopy
Contantly keeping an even canopy of growth tips is VERY IMPORTANT!
Its the true form of LST! If a few growth tips are at a higher elivation than the rest (Partial LST), than those become youre main growth points, forcing most of the growth hormone (auxins) to these main growth points and all other budsites slow down in Growth.
To achive a full (true LST) YOU MUST maintain an even canopy of budsites and if done properly alows you to save space, get lighting source closer to bud sites in turn giving you a higher yield.
Toping makes plant grow bushier. the lower branches of the plant develop more wen the main growth point is removed. Removing the main growth tip alters the plants growth hormone ( Auxins)these auxins prevent the lower branches from growing as fast as the upper foliage because the growth tip closest to the light source is its best chance of reproduction, meening the further away a branch is from the growth hormones at the top of the plant the less effect these auxins have.
Its' the same idea wen using LST but you dont cut.( hence" Low Stress Training") Youre tieing the tops down to force the auxins to "all the budsites at the same time.

Clear containers have no bearing on the health of a plant. Somebody did a grow here using clear pots (with visible roots on the other side) and flowered successfully with no problems.

Do some reading.

I have moved the babies


So the roots dom`t get exposed





and I have removed 2 from the grow room


and added a fan for ciculation


I will start to flower these soon



In the meantime I have repotted the 2 I removed



and put them under a spotlight



I am hoping to lst them in different directions along the container


hopefully everything will go well, I am anxious about how many females I will get but I have the potential of five crops already

well the neem oil with the watering seemed to help alot..i dont see anybugs moving through soil..and ive been misting them with neem and water and a drop of soap all over the leaves..that works! ive litterly seen a couple dead lil bastards on the leaves..i guess i just gotta keep doing it..

Also im giving them like an hour of darkness when i mist them,,im a bit worried i will give water burns,,i think i did b4 when i misted with lights on.Now ill be safe.

Temps are droping outside big time.
This makes things easier
the hottest in the cab is like 80 degrees.

i figure i might veg like 2 more weeks,im not sure if im gonna cut some clones..well c..but if so i will soon.

those are yellow sticky bug stips. im just trying them for the first time,...there super sticky i ripped of a piece of leaf that touched..use with caution.


above is the pp#2 ,,its growing much better then the other,and responding better to lst.Gonna have to tie more of it down soon.

update

so i decided today was the day i start flowering.
12/12 from here on.
i am using a 400watt Hps now.
didnt hook up the cooltube yet or set up the vortex fan..
temps are still ok for now,,the stupid reflector is bigger on this 400watt light then the other,and is awful to hang.and now i might need to change up the exhaust holes or somethin',,not worried too much about the heat just yet/just happy that sex will be shown soon.

oh and i took 2 clones/cutlings from each plant..they are in rockwhool and a humidity dome-under some cfls.

Well this just in . BOTH PLANTS TURNED OUT FEMALE.

i was excited when i saw the white female pistals showing
the fcking bugs messed up some leaves,but the neem oil watering and spraying.,and now using sticky traps-everythings is working well
it sucks i used soil with pests in it already.
but i made it to flowering and got 2 females.
even with the bug probs..
getting the 2 females is something to be thankful for .
So onward from here
i switched to 400 hps.
i got pretty good air flow,and temps are better now then ever .even with the 400hps. without using the vortex fan and cooltube setup.(didnt need to set up yet,also -lazy.)
night temps are 69-72 degrees
day tems 80-82



sorry about the low quality pic,im no peter parker,and the hps is way brighter.
ill try and get better picks soon with better lighting.

im runnin a few ppp got to say they are very vigorous and .big hollow stems!!!!!

i have seen alot of crapp ppp grows ,but i have seen many good ones ..just got keep poppin beans, as im told there is a pink pheno ......thats the one to look 4

good luck a few guys that have found winners ....say if you get the right pheno it will yield like a dump truck and potency .just alot of crap phenoz pop out too

b4 i even got the seeds(not many)if i undertsood correctly the strain PPP has crazy hybrid vigor,your right its all about finding one nice pheno! I Love u saying if u find the right one it could yield like a Dump truck lolol lol ..i love that.
never heard about the pink one but sounds cool...right from the start one of the 2 showed way more potential and growing strength. i took 2 clones from the best plant,put them in rockwhool. there rooting. and sure enough the clones from the weaker plant i took died.
So picking the best plant from the lot ,and using cuts from it.. is the way to go,,regardless of strain.

Thank for the good karma Phantom-i needed it to get 2/2females.


any thought on flowering time anyone?nirvana says 8-9 week..im thinking 9-10.
