Quaze, Thanks for the Birthdaycard....

Quaze, Thanks for the Birthdaycard....

.... The beans made it to the first of a few "re-mailing's" my friend e-mailed me some pics of the package. he checked to make sure everything was in order and placed Birthday card and all in a new package, drove it cross town and had another unknown contact mail it to the next address on my list. this game of paranoia while maybe a little much, it is better safe than sorry here in the states:fsu:. The beans should be at there final stop here in my town in about two weeks. (I don't know if i can wait that long.... ) anyway, I wanted to thank you for this gift. To me a unique strain is a treasure, and a gift to be respected. I will be returning the favor shortly. and already have a dozen crosses planned (along with some "selfed" In line breeding i hope). a few questions if i may so i can do this lovely strain justice and plan for it's introduction to my setup properly. what soil mix and Ph does quasar like, how heavy of a feeder? watering cycle, does quasar like the soil to never dry out, or get just shy of fully dry? Light mix and intensity, MH only or MH & HPS mix in veg? and HPS only or HPS & MH in flower? How many watts per meter and what spacing between top of plant and bulb (for this answer please also state the bulb wattage you are basing off of, so if mine differ i can calculate the correct distance for my bulbs). also the bulb brand and model (so i can adjust for like spectrum if my bulbs are vastly different spectrum). How many days for veg? and how long for flowering? how much does it stretch in the first few weeks?
and any thing else you care to share about the growth habits of this plant called quasar......
Here are some pics of the sister of the "Branch-by-Branch" hermi i'm first crossing the quasar to.

Grow for all the right reason, Peace. GF

GF

I bought "Quaze" one Month ago in Amsterdam/Bluebird.
They sell 0,8 gr for 12,50.
The girl behind the counter told me, that even the hardest smoker in Adam have trouble fininshing a half of joint with it.
So I took a bag of it and tried it.
Even after a hard day of testing the "in"-strains in Adam (like cheese, amnesia etc.), the Quaze took a very well and diffenrent effect that any other strains, I smoked. It was the clearest energetic high I´ve ever had, and I´m also experienced in smoking weed (8 years of growing myself).
Really nice stuff !
Has anybody an idea, where I can get seeds of it ?

Certainly interesting...

Gentleman Farmer, it seems some seeds made it into your skilled hands! I guess the yeild is nothing to brag about... Makes F-13 buds look weighty!

So, any speculation about which 'land' this landrace is from? Mexico? Thailand? Colombia? Africa? Perhaps it's a Haze pheno?

I'd cross it with Blueberry.

I can't believe people think this Quazar is really good, yes it has a nice high and taste but man, I have grown and smoked literally hundreds of better sativas, I guess the reason folks are raving about this Quazar is that so few people ever bother to grow a proper sativa. If only people bothered to grow some pure sativas, they would understand that Quasar is nothing special at all, and with the retarded bud structure, it's not even a keeper.

The one good thing about Quasar is that it might just have woken some folks up to the delights of a pure sativa. Now go grow some pure sativas and find a keeper, you will almost definitely find something better than Quasar!

You could well be right, my experience of truly pure Sativas isn't as wide as I'd like it to be, but this was the best that I have tried to date. My companion on the A'dam trip was a self confessed Sativa nut, who also said it was one of the best he'd smoked, and far stronger than the Swazi Red mum he keeps.

I was probably a little over enthusiastic with the actual scoring in my report, but my descriptions of taste, high, duration etc are bang on. The Quaze is a very good Sativa! I will remove the numbers from my post though.

About the quaz,

About the quaz,

indifferent: I have just started 5 of the seeds i was gifted (have had some reasons to hold off starting any new projects for a while) haveing yet to crop or even start to flower them yet i can not comment on your posted view of this strain. However your view true or not... dosn't affect where the quazes true value lays, Breeding stock. If the quaz can donate it's resin production, and a suited mate donates a varied set and level of the trich chemistry, well the value becomes rather HIGH. also, truely unique chemistry and strains come from oddly differnt and unique P1 stock. I myself am a fairly experianced breeder, and for my charted future goals... the quaz is a rather good contender to reach my goals.

Grow for all the right reasons, Peace. GF

mc snappler your report was bang on that quaze was some lovely shit

all i can think of is that its so much of a high that maybe some indica heads dont register the buzz, cos i was smoking it after some heavy indicas to give me that lift to get me to the next destination

it was in eyes a truly enjoyable smoke
