PS3 better than XBox 360?

own both the 360 and PS3.. if your looking for better capabilities, HD functions, and more features PS3 blows 360 out of the water by far!! its soo much better with many improvements coming in the future!! its so much fun playing resistance online with 40 people on one crazy map with lots of guns and fun features, Baked!! check out my PS3 thread ;)

Hey Marcellas, i read your PS3 thread and really enjoyed. I DO like the PS3...restistanse,
Tekken 6, GT HD and all that, but im thinkin of the cost...bit to pricey at the moment, which means, i have to wait till the PS3 is released which is bloody ages in europe, and then id hav to wait another year for them to drop the price.

Ill hav to wait till both systems system start bringing out exclusive games for each console like; Halo 3 & Forza Motorsports for 360, and Tekken 6 GT HD etc for PS3.

Halo 3 should show some competition cos theyv bin workin on it for a good few years
now and they should be more up to date with the graphics/physics engine by now. Same with the PS3, in time they will improve also, but the 360 has the head start.

IM not too bothered really cos i like both, its just how people over look the 360 cos it aint as popular as Sony in the games department that bothers me. Theyv never played
360 and brush it off like its no compition....when it is. There both very close but i still choose the 360 over PS3 for the time being.

Id like to see the PS3 show how powerful it is (if it is that powerful, they missled people with the PS2 and turned out nothing like they prodicted, in terms of specs),but
time will tell i guess for both systems.

long time gamer here, have owned just about every system since the atari 2600.

bein in the boonies, PS3s were easy to obtain at xmas. right now XBOX is prolly the best bet as far as games, and such, but the PS3 will prevail, as all the sony systems have been the console to have imo.

PS3 is the PS2 sony always said it would be. i think the PS3 is a sweet machine, just need time for developers to get a handle on the hardware, and there wont be any arguement over which console is the best.

where can you find a Blueray player for 600.00? if anything its worth the Blueray alone, and the gaming capability is a bonus.

i did have a bitch with the damn HD cable not included with the unit. another 60.00 bucks sucked.

we have a 50inch LCD HD set, and man, now thats the shit, late night stoned all the lights out, games are fantastic.

my kids are outta the house, and im stuck with my messiah2 PS2, as soon as GT HD comes out though, ima halfta get a PS3, im into racin games, although resistance was quite a bit of fun. to bad Gears of war wont be on the PS3. that title and Halo are worth gettin hold of the 360.

Yeah cables and accessories have the highest markup at retail stores. Definitely buy them online.

You need a Plasma/LCD to enjoy the xbox games at 1080 also, but at least you will be able to afford one after you buy your 360 easier than you will after buying a ps3.

I hate youtube...and I hate being one to link to youtube, however this song sums it up perfectly.

The PS3 would be better if it had any games worth playing, or any games coming out soon worth playing. As it is it's a smart move to get it in two years or so, when there will be maybe three good games for it and it won't be so high priced.

Anyways, back to PS3.
Ive read many reports that their online play is crap compared to 360. You cant invite or message a friend while playing games , or listen to ur custom music while playing either.

Im not havin a go at PS3, but in a way i am.

Friend owned a sega dreamcast jus before the ps2 came out. They said the
ps2 would be twice as good as the dreamcast, but in my own oppinion i thought the dreamcast was good and the ps2 was basicly...well, kinda the same. The dreamcast dropped in sales as soon as the ps2 came out and all of a sudden it was complete crap, but i loved most of the dreamcast games...truely. Of course i bought a ps2, but i wasnt completely amazed cos
id seen most of it on the dreamcast already. They made out the ps2 would
be something new and graphicly amazing, but i saw it all before on the dreamcast.

I also read that sony frame rates are low in nearly all games, and the 360"s
are quicker. High frame rates make for a much smoother game play.
So why are there frame rates slow in ps3 compared to the 360, maybe it cant handle the speed or something...i dont know.

The PS3 is realeased this week and ill hav to make my own mind up on it before i can realy judge i guess. Though i dont think ill be blown away by it like they try to make out, especialy since ive already played & loved the 360.

Time will tell....not just for sony guys, but 360 also. :joint:

Heres another link i found. I thought ridge racer of all games would be greater on the PS3, but the graphics look kinda muddy and the lighting looks rather dull.

Maybe sony were pushed with time or something...i dont know.

graphics are important to me, so is gameplay etc, but surely ridge racer cant look that bad on ps3...can it? hmm....for £450 i expect better,sorry but thats jus me.
