smoking on some nice fresh drysive from 5 months cured plants. taste is unbeliavable.
i got one more room seeded - that i will drysieve and de-seed before making oil with it. once those seeds are collected i will look into seedbay things..
shouldnt take too long more. the harvest will be within a few weeks. drying will take an aditional few weeks.. ill let u guys know when its all done.
.. got a small tupperware container full of kif. i had to press it down to be able to close the lid...
i been drysieving a lot of seeded nugs latelly. over half a kilo of seeded nugs.. now im just about to order my acethone.. and in a week or so i should be extracting a whole lot of sieved weed, to make possibly the biggest lump of jelly hash i ever made. atleast i hope so! never had this much kif atleast.. all the sieved weed is in jars waiting...
damn - just found a whole box full of trim in the drying room... guess i will be drysieving some more.
also i realize the last bunch i harvested i didnt trim too much, and i got a lot of sugar trim left on the nugs. i will have to decide if i want to add the sugar trim to this oil/jelly hash run, or maybe leave it for an other run later in a month or so...
propably will do it later since like that i can do a run with the seeded nugs that are almost done for harvest + the trim of the nugs i got dry now.. that will make an other great ball of jelly-hash
looks like this year i wont run out of smoke for a while!
ok - this is the lots of drysieve - well almost all of it. - im making more as im writing so thre is a heap i havent put into the box yet - but anyhow - here it is.
im smoking the drysieve, and it hits really nice and hard! feels almost like adding oil to it would be un-necesary - wich i guess is giving a REALLY good start material!
this time i will do the oil with various new steps that i hope to be able to do without much hustle, since even if im used to do big batches, i got about 10 liters of acethone coming my way the coming week!
1st new step i will do is to filter the acethone with the oil to get rid of loose trichomes that normally escape thru the wider metal mesh i have been using to strain the weed/acethone mix with. i will use a 40 micron screen.
2nd step is to take a break mid evaporation, to cool down and freeze the acethone 24 hours or untill all waxes have presipitated and filter again with the 40 micron screen.
the extraction it self will consist of two quick washes. it should be enough to get most of the remaining resin out of the allready drysieved material.
also - to minimize waxes in the extraction, i will use frozen acethone.
one final note is that i have decided to clean the nugs i got in the drying room, of all sugar trim and smaller nugs, wich i will all add to the oil run after drysieving it.
i have also decided to leave the seeded nugs from my small flowering room for much later - since it seems the huge amount of seeds is slowing down the speed of maturity. i cant say at all when exactly that room is going to be ready.
spent 8 hours today cleaning nugs from my last harvest. the smallest nugs and trim (didnt weigth it yet) are in the freezer to get drysieved tomorow. forgot to scale it before freezing it, but it was a shoping bag full of small nugs from size of a finger tip downwards and lots of sugar trim.
i did scale the nugs and its 570g. more than enough for me. i was tempted to also put thumb sized nugs into the hash oil project, but i finally decided to keep them for a reserve for worse times although by the looks of it i should have enough jelly hash very soon to last me untill next year!
im still half half thinking of throwing in some extra nugs into the oil lot, just for fun
drysieved all the trim and small nugs of the material frozen yesterday.. didnt bother scaling anything yet, not the material nor the trichomes harvested in the sieving. instead in a few days when i do the oil, i will join together all the kif, and scale the total.
also i will maybe weigth the material too if it doesnt seem to be too much hustle to pour the broken up sieved nugs out of the heavy jars into some huge light container... if its not enough, i will most likelly weigth the material once its been extracted, and dried, and obviously i will scale the oil also.
its really interesting to see how much resin % is contained in the material
had to start filling a new small tupperware container because the first one is full.
at the moment im not going to put in any more material in the hash project. its big enough as it is - since i gotto buy some more pyrex dishes and such for evaporation.
i have divided up the material more or less equally in my 2 biggest jars. i will do 2 washes of the material in each jar, and keep the two washes separately untill i have evaporated enough to see if 1st wash needs to get filtered of waxes or not, then after i have frozen and filtered the 2nd wash, i will add it to the first batch.
i will filter the both runs with a 70 micro screen after the extraction, before i even start evaporating. the 2nd wash will get filtered with the 40micron screen after freezing.

also i finally harvested the seeded room - the plants were on their final breath.. and it was time to do it. quite a lot more of nugs than i did expect. feals unreal its all going to hash and oil also... but since the purpose was to make seeds, i guess ill have to just get over the bud-affection, and get to picking out seeds as soon as possible.
as soon as i can i will put in new plants into this room, and get a lot of flowering done before the hot summer comes. in the veg area i got a lot of plants to choose from.. luckilly most of them are small still, so i can propably fit in a few extra i got a few BLOCKHEAD/BLUEBERRY X Beeniemans and a few PowerPlant x SSH/LP and ssh/ptk x beeniemans clones and F1 + F2 from seed.
the oil turned out really nice and amber in colour. got out a lot of it - 26g - even though the material had been drysieved before. i had all in all 101 grams of drysieve and the material i used for extraction i still gotto leave drying a bit more to be able to scale it.
anyway - all in all about 126g of hash really nice, sticky dark and shiny after working it properly. at first the trichomes dont melt into the oil, and the hash has a dull shine to it. after pressing it by hand and standing on it and a lot more, it all got finally equally mixed and took on mirror like surface.
also i ended up using only 5l of acethone - so i got a reserve of another 5l for a project soon hehe
hehe yeah hash never lasts as long as one wants but soon i got to do an other hash project with the seeded nugs i got drying now. so im sure i will have enough for a while
nice hash, BC, drysieve is the best IMO, you get all the flavours. Never used acetone to extract before, doing a butane run as i type. Good to see your still doing your thing yoyo
