Deer were my bain for about 4 years, not consecutive, and then I tried coyote urine crystals. Worked unbelievably well. I've also seen bobcat urine crystals online. In past, had limited success on rabbits and deer with blood meal, but requires replenishing often,especially after a rain.

Perimetered garden patch with coyote urine in 4 spots [light sprinkling] about 32cm/1 foot diameter, once in Spring, and once in midsummer. Deer and rabbits disappeared for months.

Unlike blood meal and other repellents, coyote urine scares them away, and they stay away.

Corn works pretty well if you get a tall cultivar. It likes a lot of everything, esp. N. I grew a small plant among Plumbago which grows well at 30 degrees latitude. Used a 10 gal. pot [potting mix] hidden under the plumbago canopy. I kept the buds bent and tied to the plumbago, so from a distance you couldn't tell that it was a different plant. I got pretty good production and good quality even though it was in dappled shade all but 3 to 4 hours per day.

It was fun, and let's not overlook the fun aspect of this enterprise.

the corn here matures way before the weed. tomatoes and peppers have longer season. also maybe sunflowers is a good idea.

i think i will have to build some structures to make a few hiding spots. i got time to do it slowly hehe sooner or later im going to make the perfect outdoor spot here...

harvested today 2 sweetnsour diesel x ssh/ptk/ptk. both have a strong typical diesel smell. the yields are outstanding. enormous nugs on one of them, and very solid too. the other has more foxtails, but is more resinous than the other one. both are really nice. makes me want to plant more seeds of this later on to see how it behaves in better conditions. its allready a feat to produce big resinous nugs under continuos heat, so it should do nicelly when colder

i still got 2 more SSD/SSH/PTK/PTK left in flowering, and one more amnesia haze x ssh/ptk/ptk. one of the SSD/SSH/PTK/PTK has enormous nugs, some of the biggest i have ever seen. now its left to see how long they do take to finish.. plants that take 3 months to finish needs a bit extra care in the middle of the flowering. giving a few extra shots of AB seems to help these. they are far more hungrier for nutes than the jamaican beeniemans lines im working with atm also they do take a lot longer to flower, but they do seem to make up for it, even though the long flowering ones look usually very sfcetchy next to quick flowering phenos, and their slow production makes them look bad. later on the bigger yields do talk for them self.

all three long flowering plans left will yield a lot.

the horsetail needs a swampy area to live, either that or near the banks of rivers and lakes. the one herb i haven't found yet locally is comfrey, which is a great flowering nutrient when made into fpe.

the two plants harvested yesterday have a strong smell and are litterally stinking down the drying room something crazy. sour pungent smell. i hope the typical diesel smell stands out when properlly dry.

today i made a big drysieving session with accumulated trim. got a nice pile of kief, and i mixed it with a oil i have done recently. finally it seems i need a lot more of kief to get the hash to a nice mouldeable consistency.

for next addition to the jelly i plan to make ice hash and more drysieve. ice hash tends to not to help to make it more solid, rather the icehash might just be equally sticky as the oil, butit does add a lot of flavour. drysieve is nice, but icehash is better

everything mixed up is a hella nice smoke

i just had to emergency harvest 3 freak plants, to make sure there is enough room for a bunch of prime plants just starting to flower. its going to be a big ice hash session in a few days. anyway, now with all freaks out of the way i expect some nice nugs soon again. untill that i hope the ice hash will give a good yield. however i did find the other day a hole in my ice hash bag for veg material. i think it looks like i might have to buy a new kit

the last round of plants in both flowering rooms are starting to flower... soon enough i will have lots of A+++ smoke again

i think the diesel cross has nice flavour, but the potency and resin coverage does not make up for the longer flowering times. i will only concentrate on planting beans of my ssh/ptk x beeniemans as long as i can. i will plant all seeds of the f1 generation, i still got a whole lot left, and later on start selecting in the f2 generation im slowly building up.

at the moment i have decided to not to use the males i got in the veg area, untill the temps are lower and i got a good stash of nugs.. the reason is now the bud production is the most important, i can allways polinate later on other nice phenos i like.

at the moment i feel i did rigth planting a handfull of diferent crosses for comparison. the reason beeing i feel i did rigth is, now watching the next bunch of the ssh/ptk x beeniemans i can directly see the benefits. instant resin coverage on huge calyx, i just hope the first plants in flowering will be of the most fast flowering pheno. meanwhile i will be smoking jelly-hash, wich i luckilly got a good stash of.

no need to worry yet... hehe

hehe im complettelly out of nugs, and about a month from harvest. good thing is i got a huge chunk of jelly hash to smoke.. only drawback im smoking way too much tobacco to mix it hehe

could be worse... anyway i hope the two next plants to harvest are going to be extra fast!

hehe i kind of choose not to smoke a bunch of plants i had harvested last month i kind of suplied some locals, and an other part into ice hash so this is why i dont have any nugs rigth now hehe

but im not far from harvest either so its all good, and i still got a lump of hash left i thinki i will have some plant ready withing a week or two all but one is from seed, so its estimated flowering times only

but yeah man it sucks to be out of nugs, but sometimes one's gotto do what one's gotto do

i havent bought any smoke soon for 2 years so atleast that part is working out, even if i gotto smoke icehash/oil combo rigth now. i mean i dont complain. the jelly hash is very good, but i allways prefeer nugs
