Pro-MIX BX

Is this stuff too harsh for seedlings? I'm switching from Scotts peat moss Dr.'d up with bone/blood meal to this and I don't want my seedlings to freak out. I know I'm probably being dumb, but I figured I'd ask.. :canabis:

I use the premier pro mix bx and it works great 4 seedlings.I dont add bone or blood meal to it til i transplant from 16 oz cups to 2 gal pots.I just add perlite with pm bx. :canabis:

Thanks DWW. I don't usually add those or fert until they leave the solo cups, I should have mentioned that too :bashhead:

Anyhow, thanks for the feedback. I'm looking forward to being able to buy a bail of good peat instead of small ass bags all the time! :)

A quick question for the people using Pro Mix BX and adding perlite. Wouldn't you be better of using Pro Mix HP? The only difference between them is that the HP (stands for High Porosity) has 10% more perlite as I understand it.

The only difference I saw was that HP uses coarse perlite and no vermiculite. I'm adding perlite anyways, so a little more is fine with me.

The main reason I'm sticking with BX is because Pro-Mix in general is hard to find around here and my local hydro store stocks BX often. Shipping on a bale would make mail order a rip off.
