Bump this thread if you were excited to see pedro post again, but then sad when you realised it was only me bumping the thread :bump:

Come back, P! :comfort:

Hello my friends!! :)

I am still around, and I have a lot to show you. I don't have a lot of time on my hands these days, and won't make a grow journal until I have time to do it properly.
If I can find the time, I will close this thread with some random photos this weekend, and re-launch in a new one later.

Thanks for stopping by, and sorry for my late response

Cheers

Thanks guys :) I'm looking forward to my next grow thread too.

Need more time to build, but was in need of more smoke ;)
I haven't finished the water-air heat exchange yet = I'm only running 220W of light in the summer heat.
I haven't turned on the reservoir cooler either, I want to see how my biofilter handles some rather hight temps.

So, this is really test grow #2 before the first fully climate controlled run...:joint:

Hey cheese. Thanks.

12 days of 12/12 and they are about to enter full flower. I used clones from one of my mums for this grow.

cheers

It's UV-C, and that is a lot different from any other wavelengths. It has a wavelength that penetrates the cell and messes up the DNA, eventually killing all living tissue. You need to protect skin and eyes when working with it. UV light is efficient at breaking down THC, thats why I'm careful testing on one bud at first.
It has been tested on mold and mildew. In some professional greenhouses they have UV-C pl-l's mounted along the spray bar.

I've seen some talk of UV ranges that should be beneficial for growing, but no scientific arguments and it contradicts everything I know about light and plants.

Hey Pedro, Those are some wild modifications to your cabinets. When you start a new thread, please take a wide angle photo and walk us through the pieces and parts.

Have you experimented with the UV-C light lately? What were your results of hitting the plants with 20 second bursts? Was there any change besides the death of bugs?

I have two of those bulbs. I want one inside the air intake and one in the exhaust. To kill any bugs making their way into the cabinet and the second would destroy odours leaving the cabinet. I was surprised to read that it would kill odours without producing Ozone. It is a very interesting bulb while also being danagerous.

To prevent accidental exposure, a key operated switch might be a good idea. A contact switch on the door could disconnect the negative/ground wire if the door was opened during operation.

Keep use updated, Love the work!
