you'd be surprised how strong 2" masking tape can be. the stem doesn't moisten/ruin the tape. and it makes for easy removal. I was thinking duct tape earlier, but it tends to quickly leave a sticky residue; the masking tape doesn't.
For the most part all the nugs are hung via hook/stem formation when clipping, but every once in awhile you need to secure a branch or two and tape is the most efficient way of doing it--its fast and secure. Out of the 10 hangers of buds I just chopped only two branches got their hook messed up when clipping and had to get taped up--beats dropping them on the floor like I normally would.
