Hello all you old, tired, aching, disillusioned herbalists. Thank Jah that we have the best herb(sativa) to give us some energy.
It is from all your foresight and hard work through all these years that we even still talk of growing and enjoying these varieties. Let alone the understanding, experience and pleasure that we have gained along the way. The struggle to grow is all downhill from here, herb is being accepted as never before, fear is dissipating, the veil is being lifted and the truth is being known, the cat is out of the bag big time. We are on the verge of having many of our lifelong questions answered on this subject with all the discovery that is happening. I beg you all to stay positive and never give it up because we are leaving an impression and body of knowledge on the youths that will outlive all of us.

And if you, like I do at this point in my life, have back, knee, hip problems that ache constantly, find a way to add ground flax seed to what you eat. I have been eating flax seeds for over a year now every day and my aches that were constant have almost all gone. I tried stopping the flax for a few days and the aches returned with all their discomfort and when I resumed the ground flax they went away again. So try some it may work for you too.
Irie and by all means, ganj on and on...

11-9-14 Update

11-9-14 Update

Hi all,

I am leaving tomorrow for 10 days for my knee surgery and am taking down everything today. The Smell on the 12 Finger Oaxacan is amazing and complex... scents of turpentine, and meat very strange combo but cool.

The Big PRed Bush is all seeded and coated with Trichs...I am going to dry her and see if I cant get some hash to go with my seeds.

I have cuts going and someone who promises to come and ewater in my absence. Fingers crossed. Also have mad seeds of as many crosses as possible including Oax Red x Stash PR, OaxRed x 1974 PR, and OaxRed x WesosPR, Wesos PR x Stash PR, Wesos PR x Wesos PR, and 12-F Oax s 12-F Oax.

Bud Structure and Plant size of the 1974 is very much as I recall from my intial grow, as is Stash PRed structure and Spicy Smell. The Rootmas on Staivas makes all the difference in the end product. To get the most out of them I believe they need to grow big and deep and with lots of sun. People here who do such an amazing job with them are just better than me at it :).

o now I have come as far as I can. Hope to have some smoke report when I get back. Its been fun and really appreciate all of your input. I hope this thread will be helpful to those who grow the strains.

Cuidate Charlie and Wesos and all those who helped me so so much this season. Blessings and Good Vibes- Stay in touch brothers!

Okay, get plenty of rest and prayers for healing and a speedy recovery.

Looking delicious, Charlie:)

I was wondering when did they start flowering if were picked in october/november?
At my latitude(45N) sativas rarely start before september and need a greenhouse to finish properly. Very hard to finish a 12+ week strain. I often feel the need to move south:)

at around 40º is basically the same, bit more extended but depending on season, am not at sea level. Not too hard for -12 weeks ones if more or less sativa. Indicas outdoor usually should finish mid october max nor later.
GH can be a nice help here too, helps to maintain them dryer if seeds

That's good info, this season I'm trying for the first time some african genes(malawi and angolaXthai) and thankfully it's still quite warm(not far above sea level, sea has 17°C), so I think they can make it in mid december.

By the way, I was very impressed with the way your Red Snakes looked, with fast, gorgeous towery colas. Is the strain available somewhere?
Did you have a chance to cross Panama and Mangobiche? I'll probably have one next season(super autoflowering version, finishes end september) but never heard anything about this cross.

Cheers

Hola Koondense
sounds interesting combo, both sides have a nice rep of strong weed
Not, RS wont be released. I made several F1s with the Punto Rojo male and it seems this one is the best balanced and tasty.
Not havent tried yet the Panama/Mango. The mangobiche mom is still flowering!

Charlie, beautiful fresh colitas! Happy to see your Oaxacan / Mexican project developing - looks like high times ahead!

I have a question, that relates to identifying the Highland Guerrero genetics from Chimera's 1972 Highland Guerrero x Blueberry . Its difficult, for me as DJ Short's Blueberry sativa contains multiple genetics.

Does seed colors and seed marking mean anything? If so, are the seeds of your Mexicans generally light brown solid color?

I crossed one Destroyer female with two Highland Mexican x BB f2 males, one short flowering and long long flowering male. One group of seeds from the female was solid light brown and the other seed group from the same female light blond and molten.

Same thing happened in these Highland Guerrero x Blueberry f2 seeds, not sure if it shows in the photo. The two groups of seeds from the same Destroyer female are very different in appearance.

My first group of Destroyer x Highland Mexican (HT x HM - A) seedlings are happy. Some little ones smell like Zorrito / Skunk already, which I assume is a Highland Guerrero trait, (although it could be from DJ's blueberry).

Cheers from the sunny Rocky Mountain highlands.
