Pre-98?????????

I must have been sleeping while some earth shattering event took place in the cannabis world in 1998. I've noticed that more and more seed sellers are claiming to have Pre-98 clones, etc...or Pre-98 this or that as parent stock. did something happen in 1998 that I missed? or is this just more bullshit to stimulate sales?

has anyone else noticed more and more of these claims? Pre-98 shows up in a lot of plant descriptions by various sellers. I am skeptical and would like to know what others think.

usually when i hear it is had to do with pre 98 bubba. but like you said, its been thrown around with other strains now.

I think it was cause lsd was flowing like the nile back then. I can understand sensi seeds might of been better or cuts came out with relations to famous cuts.

I think it's probably watered down versions of the pre-98 Bubba...

Just like Bros. Grimm C-99. Lots of crosses and claims, but how long since Bros Grimm been gone?

if you search you will find nice lengthy thread on bubba kush. There is even an original bubba that some call a pre 92/93 i think. Bodhi uses it in a few of his crosses.

Not to mention its some HEAT

I've heard bubba called pre 96 as well.

The only other "pre" I know is sometimes Ak47 or Kali Mist are referred to as Pre-2K, I think that was the year some parentals were lost or changed, or seed lines were bred in a different direction, like more indica.

the few times last fall I got some "Pre 98" Bubba Kush..it was excellent though, just to be fair. super tasty, old school kinda flavor..like candy or something sweet, it was awesome. I wish I could get some more man.
