hey i noticed jiggy stopped by. last time i was in chat many moons ago, all i remember was how he said everything sucks, but his bubba. i can see why...

forgot to mention that these were grown in FFOF mix with chunky perlite, dolomite lime, mycorrhizae, and FF-POM F&F. next time i will try to do a 50/50 mix of OF to Roots or OF to LW. nutes used were PBP Pro-Soil, Silica Blast, Liquid Karma (sparingly), CalMag Plus, and molasses. i've had budswel sitting around and will try to start using that more next round too.

Yo lcoop4.

I was given the clone as master kush.

I gave it to 2 people who have both grown bubba kush a lot. One says its a bit different than bubba and the other says its identical to bubba. Either way its some dank weed.

Great nugs on those plants man.

As a frequent retailer at so cal dispensaries I can tell there is definately a difference between the master and bubba at least in taste and smell. They are similar for sure but not identical at all.

I politely beg to differ on this. I dont know what differences you might be referring to but, would you be able to separate the two in a blind taste test?

If so, right on. I applaud your olfactory abilities. Can you detail the differences?

I can confidentally say that anybody seeking bubba that has the MK, or vice versa, and you are having a tough time obtaining it, dont worry. I have settled down with the MK purely because she was the one that survived of the two. I dont miss bubba. Both are incredibly strong when treated right, and have the "tiniest plant in the bunch" trait. They both grow excruciatingly slow even in optimum conditions. They are both very stable and showing no signs of in-stability. I have never been able to get a nanner to pop. I have beat up and mis-treated both and moved them from outside to inside and screwing the cycles. I honestly can not find anything bad about any of them. The only drawback I can find with either plant is the small size and slow growth. But overcoming this is easy. Veg a bunch of them and keep a bigger one on reserve.

I try to keep a plant at 24 inches and bloom. Many tops helps yield. Since she has almost no stretch, she definitely need to be bigger than the rest of your flavors when going in to bloom. They will catch up.

Either way, you cant go wrong any one of them. It is one of the dankest plants I have ever seen and definitely fills a void. I love her so much. The flavor is intensely good and has a degree of pure kushiness that is rarely seen in gardens these days. No sweetness whatsoever. Pure coffee funk. So much like coffee it wakes me from a dead sleep if I leave a little in the bedroom.

I am going to start a project soon involving the MK. I want to cross it to a unknown strawberry plant that I have been working with. If MK can lend its dense structure and a hint of strwberry is in there I bet a winner emerges.
I think the possibilities are major since the plants have such stability.

We shall see......

the scmk is more frankenscencey while the bubba is more coffee-ish imo
i can easily find similiar traits (growth structure, speed of growth, done about the same time, eat the same) as well as some differences (the bubba seems to take a bit longer to root, the scmk has very wide leaves while the bubba is not quite as wide).
both are easily enjoyable to smoke for taste as well as effect

cannot go wrong with either though the scmk is a bit more boutique in that not every gardener and his brother has it.

the scmk to me is like a real fine cigar, the flavor and smoking pleasure is top notch, myself I would like to find a strong romulan male to cross her with. possible find something like the grape rom with more pow to the high.

The best thread I have seen showcasing my 2 favorite wide leafs!!! There are way too many fake bubba cuts floating around these days. Flipped 3 different cuts and none are what I remember.

If I could find the real SCMK and Urkle, that would be all I ran. I would be taking a lot more naps though...

And yes this was a 10 year bump!

Revival! I remember this thread. The SoCal Master was my favorite back in the day. I have seen a few pics of her on IG so she's still out there.
