Is your Urkel clone green or dark purple without cold temps?
Dark Green without cold temps.

that's literally the first time I've ever heard anything that remotely validates my hypothesis that urk = good pheno of lavender...I've honestly been speculating that for years since I grew out a cut of lavender in like 06-07ish.
I'd love to run through a bunch of old soma gear, some of the last bags I bought before I was self supplied was Somango, and amethyst...looking back I think a lot of the stuff my buddy used to grab in arcata was some soma gear...he was definitely my favorite breeder before I ever really got very serious with growing...and I've honestly never even popped a single one of his seeds...I need to change that!
sorry for going off topic!
when are you planning on flowering these urks?
Looks like they could use a few more weeks of development to fully mature
Look what fell off while cleaning

Yep!!! The first URKLE SEEDS!! This bud came off when cleaning up fan leaves this morning. The stripes go long ways not sideways on them with a light complexion.
how's the smell?
Wow jefe sure are a shit load of views im a little jealous. Your thread jas so many more views than mine.
Ah thank you buddy. Your thread rocks too!! I am jealous of your patients and strains.
Thanks man. Really the way I look at it is this. Sativas require much less veg time so the longer flower works out. The sativas help me more with my anger so I need to have patience to grow what I need. I preffer the looks, smells, flavour and effects of the sativas. Many are done in a few short weeks longer take my kali mist. 9-11 weeks depending on your preferance but in my opinion prime at 9-10.
My slh took me 10 weeks the first time I grew that pheno then a week faster after. You get to dial them in and suddenly that 100+ bitch is a 84 day strain. There's loads of fast sativas, take tangilope, and I've just recently seen some it was nuts... same with phenos of slh. That said slh is a crap shoot but one I like to roll. I like stable strains and I like playing around with weird unstable hybrids those types yield some really neat flashy cuts that everyone wants. Case and point tga... unstable but I see so many keepers popping up in threads. I lucked out and scored some of the discontinued Pandora box.
Really if you look at the end result the sativas are worth it. Right now I'm actually growing some stuff I'm guessing will be longer but man there's loads of fast sativas out there ranging from a scant 56 day indica speed time to what I consider the end of "fast sativas" 77 days. I think even 12 weeks is reasonable sure it's like adding 50% on to your flower times but you get used to it. Then if you grow indicas after they grow too fast they creep me out a bit how fast they are done. The only 56 day sativas I see are ogs or the odd pheno of the Highland Nepali I have but rarely grow.
If you like being awake, alert and motivated by your high grow some sativas. The high I find lasts much longer and so that makes up for the slower finish time along with less veg time needed.
There's also the matter of large sativas can yield 800 grams a square meter between 4 plants. You can easily yield a half pound off a big ass ssh tree I've seen it done in dirt! If that guy was doing hydro I have a feeling he would pull twice as much. He likes what he does though so why say otherwise it's up to everyone to find the lights, method and strains for them.
I just finished packing 2 envelopes. One headed to reef and one to attitude. I'm not announcing the varieties chosen from attitude until they arive then I'll "spill the beans"
I feel ya on the less veg time needed. My East Coast Sour Diesel streatches like a banshee. But I feel she needs more than 70 days to finish. Going to go water the Urkles!!
