Powdery Mildew questions....

This sounds more like superstition than science. Why not spray milk at 30% amber? It's a 10% solution that is organic, easily rinsed off, leaves no visible residue, no taste/flavor and no reduction in potency. I've done it with my crops and seen other growers do it as well, so please explain what the problem is.

You don't think dousing a plant three times will wash off VOCs? Interesting.

Ignoring that, what I find at issue is you judging and providing remedies before the OP had even clearly defined his problem. Jumping to conclusions based on incomplete evidence isn't very sciencey.

Plus, it's kind of the first step towards bad advice. This is a help forum after all.

And now he has useful advice and solutions, sans lait.

Steady as she goes horton. If in doubt, toss it. What's left is still better than anything you'll buy in a dispensary or on the street.

Thanks Mikell...... I have gathered my wits about me and started trimming and examining each bud. So far, not a tremendous amount of damage, but what a valuable learning experience.

Is there anything I can to about the remaining two plants? They are very close to cutting but if possible I'd like to let them "cook" a little while longer.

Indeed this is a help forum and I certainly have benefited from the experienced members here!! My sincere thanks once again!!

PS.... it's taking me forever to type a post because I don't want to have any edits. Is 50 posts still the magic number to be able to edit posts?

if you are watching them close you can let the others go if they still look ok.

trust me you've smoked weed before that had PM and bud rot and you're still here.

Thought I'd post a little update ...... I cut the plant down that had the bud with BR. After several hours of trimming and closely examining every bud I found BR in the very top of the central stem. I literally ripped every bud apart on the plant and checked under magnification so hopefully I was lucky yesterday when I found it. To be safe I also removed the other plants and will be checking them carefully today.
The bud that was "infected" was a nice big fatty. I am guessing that BR will "settle" where the conditions are optimal and that big bud sure looked like a good candidate -- it was roughly 3" in diameter.
I truly appreciate all the help and advice. This has been an excellent lesson for me and in the future I will take more care to avoid BR again. This forum is a wonderful resource!!

There are many varieties of botrytis also.
Some are toxic.

That said, I routinely rinse PM infested colas with H2O2.
But only because it's all personal stash.

One can not risk sickening the ultimate consumer.
There are people with impaired immune systems that use cannabis as medication.
So, unless it's personal stash, and you know exactly what you are doing, it's just not worth the risk.

Bag it, and work on prevention for the next crop.

Just sharing some information I read elsewhere

Thanks Weird.... the H202 rinse -- would that be the 8 - 10% sol'n H202? Would the buds be dunked in it or sprayed with it?

I'm not weird but every once and a while I do get strange as hell.
H2o2 at about 1/2-1% is what ive used when needed, soaked and gently massaged under the solution to facilitate total saturation. Gently shake and hang with lots of ventilation.
