i start in "beer"cups..those red cups you get for kegger parties...then i transplant into a 4 inch wide pot...thn into a 1 gallon pot for flowering..but i keep t kinda small
Well i can have them grow 3 feet vertical and about 2 feet wide. I have a 6 foot wide flower area and i want to get 3 plants in there, do u think 2 feet wide per plant will be enough space? and also what do u think is good for starting them in? i was going to use those little square containers u buy flowers in at the nurseries like 3 x3 x3 i think or somthing, will that work?
those would work just fine. square pots are great for maximizing grow space. i would say work your way up to the largest pots you can fit in there without sacrificing too much space. large roots = large buds.
It seems to be better to first grow plants in smaller pots and when they're almost rootbound, transplant them. I get bigger plants than if I go straight to big pots. More roots, bigger plants.
If you start in a container too large, the roots tend to grow along the sides of the container leaving a "big empty" in the middle,a poor way to utilize limited media in a finite container. If you started a seed or cut in a 3 gal container and finished her in that container the result will be much poorer than had you started in 4 inch to 1 gal to 3 gal.
is it ok to flower in 1 gallon pots? and hats an average yeild of a one gallon pot thas rootbound? i always see peeps using bigger pots but i dont knwo if i have any. i thoguht about little trash cans with holes in the bottom but if i dont need it ill save my csh. im TRYING to get an ounce of one plant doing either a scrog or lst
