"veg on 2nd oct 05 pulled 14th jan 06 "

This statement confused me...When did you actually veg..and how many weeks flower? Your grow has been great to read thru...just found it a couple days ago, but I remember voting for that pic of yours over at OG...It's been about 3 weeks..any smoke reports post-cure?

You have officially blown my mind!

You could win PoTM for two years with just the pics in this thread! Really amazing pics and buds. Thanks for bumping the thread, otherwise I would have never seen it.

bringing back the old, out with the new. These are some amazing picks guys, had to reharvest this one from the grave

many thanks for everyones kind words and welcomes.

The reason behind the cut back it to maximis yield from one plant.

The science.
Plant is veged for 4 weeks pinched at 8 th node and again at 16th. 2 days before 12/12 cut plant back down to 12 inches in height to an even canopy. Taking off all tips and removing all lats tips below the 12" mark. What happens is the 4 weeks of veging in a huge pot has given the plant a massive root zone, and when cut back and flowered that rootzone acts like puting a v12 engin in a tiny micra. It just produces bud shoot and has no redundant plant to sustain. It grew 9 inches in first 4 days after cut back. No bs.

The plant was at 27 inches at heighest point before cut back, now from 12" upto 26-29" are pure colas.
The other main aspect of this technique is that you can keep the lamp closer to the base increasing the lumen levels at the lowest reaches of the plant, keeping quality and quantity to the max. Will post harvest pics and yields etc. Cjopping in next 2-3 days

many thanks

Simply because the space and wattage I would require to keep my min of 10-12 strains in smoke at any time would be massive. Lol

But my next run is back to smaller 4-6 oz bushes.

Hi people of ICMAG,

I was amazed at Herbaliser pictures and i am interesting in his cut back technique. I under stand the science but i do not understand how it is done exactly. Could someone help please?

1, "Pinched at 8 th node and again at 16th". I dont understand how you pince at 16th node.

2, "Taking off all tips and removing all lats tips below the 12" mark" What does this mean? What are lats tips?

Or does he mean cut down the plant to 12 inches first then remove lats tips? i hope some one can help me with diagrams or something. I really want to master this technique.

I am a newbie in growing and to forums, please forgive if i have broken any rules , i just need to know how the plant is cut back exactly so i dont ruin my plants.

Thanks people
