watched the show again last night.

thought it was still good, although i'm not digging the dispensary owner too much as he seems to be in this for the money only.

B.E. Smith and the other growers are cool.

still much better than weed wars

dispensary owners don't seem to be too popular here, not too surprising since most members are on the production side of things
i liked the scenery shots, some nice country in northern cali
shame it's infested with badge/gun toting wackos determined to save us from one of god's plants

Watched the first two last night, I really liked it. They seem to have picked good people to film. Atleast the growers up north, they all seem like hard working folks just trying to make a living.
Looks like it would be a great place to live and a great business except for all the bullshit with the law and rippers to wory about. Hopefully the laws will change soon and growing meds in sweet ass gardens like that will become as normal as a back yard vegie garden.

Im not a frothing at the mouth cop hater like the masses here, but man o man those guys are full of shit. I just sat watching the LE side of the show thinking about the huge waste of time and money spent chasing down plants. All the resources wasted on MJ prohibition could definitely be put to better use.

The discovery channel didn't advertise this show much so a lot of people don't know about it. Most people are upset about the cops but there are former cops that is growing illegally, selling, and using. And one former narcotics cop was eating it raw. Never tried that. I like this much better then the other MJ shows where they really didn't know what they were doing. The way I look at it any publicity is good for the cause. I been fighting the hard fight for many years and I am 62yo and still grow for me and friends. It's good to see we made some good progress and the hard fight is not a lost cause. We are not too old to learn new tricks. So I say enjoy the show and keep up the good fight my friends. And smoke one for me....

That ex-cop has the same thing I have. It’s a pretty rare disease, so it was really surprising to watch his story on tv; it felt like I was watching “my story” too, that segment made me cry like a baby, lol.

I gotta agree though, Re: those douche-bag cops were pretty tough to watch. I ended up screaming at the tv a time or two.

Gonna go try eating buds! :biglaugh:

Those growers have gigantic balls! Martyrs are remembered. It is the best of all of the weed shows yet. I love how the growers rag on the dispensary owner while standing right next to him. Nothing better than kicking a motherfucker while he is down. :)

The editing and storylines trying to be blurred together seem kinda corny and staged. Its too bad, I still watch it but I think they could have done a lot better show digging more deeply into the "boring" true story aspect of things and not trying to sensationalize it.

The way they cut back and forth between the cops and growers they try to make it seem like the cops are on the tails of the featured growers when in reality lots of times they are not even geographically next to each other.

Ughh, yes! That drove me crazy during the 1st episode, (haven’t watched the 2nd.)

And to all that want to try eating raw weed I was told to try a firecracker. It's peanut butter on a cracker with MJ on it and put in the oven at 225 degrees for like 10 mins. And maybe a glass of whole milk to wash it down. Give a 1-2 hours and if not satisfied do some more.

Painfull :bigeye:

Cooking the weed at 225 with PB and a cracker is eating raw weed? Cystolith Hairs are an irritant to the stomach lining. This is why we should heat our weed that is intended to be eaten. Or extract the goodies and leave the vegatative matter out of the equation. Just my 2 cents.

all reality shows do this shit to add to the drama, which in reality doesn't really make them reality shows after all.

it's a way for networks and cable stations to save money on professional actors and actresses...

but mike boutin getting pulled over was scary...

Link request.

Can't seem to find a link of the whole documentary. Only trailers.

Would anyone mind pointing me in the right direction?

The show is a huge disappointment to me. The producers had some adds in some local media here looking for growers to be on the show. They said they would comply with any growers needs to respect their privacy while filming and that they wanted to do a documentary on the day to day aspects of marijuana farmers and their operations. Nobody with a brain or any type of success or self respect would be on that show. Thats why none of the show actually seems to be in the emerald triangle.

It's too bad because there is such an incredible culture here and most will never have the privilege of being able to experience it or see how it really is.

It's fun to watch but also so terrible in so many ways. The other show they filmed featuring cops busting growers was filmed here and it's going to be fucked up.

Discovery network used to be chill back in the day,now they can suck my balls, lol.
