Wow dude if ever there was a legitimate reason to make that mistake you've found it for sure.
I grew some SSH once. Those bitches grew so fast I started worrying, and I was growing them outdoors. From seed to 6' tall was only like 2 months if I remember correctly. They hit 6' and my wife and I were like "fuck that's tall, pure sativa for sure. what are we gonna do?" her reply "top 'em". So I did. I snipped 'em right then and there. What'd they do? Christ you'd have thought they switched their genes to an indica of some sort, because they bushed out like 6' tall xmas trees. I mean they went from a diameter of about 2' to 3' in three weeks.
Oh, this was all still in July a few years ago. Still another month or so from flowering... if I would have kept them they would have been 12' tall and 6' in diameter probably.
SSH is a gnarly plant with a wonderful high. I look forward to seeing how an indoor crop of them turns out. Let us know for sure how they smoke.

I asked myself the same question. Basically I thought I changed the timer from 18/6 to 12/12, but I didn't. Because sometimes SSH takes a while to flower and the plants were growing rapidly, as they would in the "stretch", I didn't go back and check the timer until I got very worried about running of vertical space. This happened a month into what I thought was the flowering cycle. When I went back to double check I noticed it was on 12/12. The plants that are pictured take up all of the room in my cab so I just managed to control them enough to finish the grow.
