Motaco I was just asking about the nutrient deficiency because I am a greenskeeper and that is what happens to certain types of turfgrass when there is a nutrient defenciency don't take it so personal. I am sure you know how to grow and I will never post such bad energy thoughts again. I am so sorry but purple pot is more marketing than quality. I hope u can understand that. Looks cool but i smoke to get STONED!!!!!!

yet again. purple has nothing to do with quality. its simply an added advantage to a jar of good nugs. there is no purple marketing hype behind deep chunk, or lavender, or purple skunk, or gdp, etc. they are just good beautiful purple buds.

I smoke to get stoned too. and you'll find no better weed than what was mentioned above. AND its purple.

when weed has nutrient problems they don't look like the weed posted in here. they look sick.

I have smoked a lot of purple buds, and most of them have poor flavor and even worse potency, except for the Purple Indica that WZ is refering to. She is something special

BTW, Nspecta, your purple pics are insane! good job

You are right for real, PI is the select of the purples. The downside is it doesnt produce much yield at all.

I will give you that. early mid eighties when REAL purple hype was happening. people had gotten used to seeing late flowering sativas that turned purple because of autumn. so they started viewing it as a potency determiner.

the result is alot of purple strains that seem to have a similar smell and taste in common. a very chemically perfume astringent. nasty like you got a bit of perfume spritzed in your mouth. and the highs were not well bred, and now alot of them are inbred to top it all off.

but those are just some of the shitty purps. relics of a dead era that still linger on in the commercial scene. which is the main reason I suspect people badmouth purps. they're used to gettin crappy batches of it. or batches that got fucked up from cold weather and were told was "lethal purple" or something.

and man. purple skunk. the batch I got of it was insanely potent. which I didn't expect at all because I've read a TON of negative purple skunk reports.

hello
I do not speak well English, sorry.

banghi have two phenotypes, one purple and another green. one right now I am reproducing them to donate them to which it wants to plant them and are not of ACE. I donated a female to him of banghi, and not it better, to kaiki. not what they are doing, I do not know either, if they use the name of banghi to make it more commercial. Banghi of the ACE is not looked in anything like the original ones. I have been more than 12 years cultivating them.

All plants have the potential of being purple plants that are green contain a lot more chlorophyll, but they also have other colors that you cannot see because there is so much green. Plants that are purple have more of the pigment anthocyanin than they do chlorophyll so they appear purple even though there is green underneath.

There is a new product called PURPLE MAXX by Humboldts Own, I picked some up at the last HYDRO EXPO and I wanna experiment on some purple strains, so now I'm on the lookout. It is supposed to increase the pigmentation

glad you liked the NPP lucky. I couldn't believe it won a cup a few years ago but NOBODY grows that strain. probably the least grown of the cup winners.

how was the yield and flower time? it stand up to heat well?

unless its a misprint in ed's "Big Book of Buds"

its says nirvana new purple power. blah blah blah. winner hightimes cannabis cup '98

which is impressive. in '98 its not like '89. there was REAL competition in 98. ak, bubblegum, blueberry, ssh, widow, rhino, etc.

Purple X Big Bud

Purple X Big Bud

This is shot of a selfmade purple x big bud cross just enjoying the last moments of dutch july-sun before being chopped. They are grown from over 5 year old seeds and looked crappy at first, yellow cotylons that is but they got over it while they matured. Never seen a cross react that fast to a 12/12 lightcycle (sadly no pictures). At night the ladies were kept in a blinded bathroom and they stayed there for 6 1/2 weeks :yummy: .
