it looks pretty thin. im glad i opted for the straight beaker base. i love my lux though.. as someone else put it.. its easier than breathing.

What would you guesstimate is the thickness on the bottom of the lux?

its 3.97mm thick ... which is very thin...they have to take the 3.97mm glass bubble bottom and blow/stretch it out...which makes it even thinner....i did note on another forum that when i hold it...it feels very fragile....and im always scared ima break/crack it...... so yea...i wanted the straight .. but they didn't have any..

Just bought a molino borosilicate bong and precooler for $60, first bong will show pics when it comes!

Well it got here, everything is well made and I like the way it hits and how its super super loud. I got a precooler but cant use it yet as it dosent have a stem that submerges so I will need to get a removable stem thats long enough to submerge to hook the precooler up to.

It hits hard and I like the carb as its easy to clear it real fast and I dont have to remove the stem. Its a great little bong for the money and I also like the fact that its totaly clear so I can see the progess of the smoke all the way through.

The seal is excelent and the whole thing is well made IMO.

Its pretty much like taking knife hits. The bowl is a "bell" shaped bowl and site that sucks the smoke up like a vacum and the bowl just fits into a "standard size" female downstem for your bong.

I just cleaned it up for the pics.

Anyone else have a set like this? The guy that originally blew this glass is from South Lake Tahoe and says he was the first to blow this style of glass....who knows if thats true. This is a pretty old paddle set too.
