First off RH, I can't really call H3ad up, and run over to his pad to pick up some C99bx clones.
As a grower, I also know clones are CRAZY EXPENSIVE. Also, they are not available at the corner store.
I take a seed grow out the mothers, and then take clones. That's how you do it. Maybe in Buffalo they have a clone market. Around here, theat shit doesn't exist.
As far getting elite strains, clones are out of the question, unless you live in Kali.

Just to add a little something about clones. The only way you are going to get the truest form of a phenotype, is by growing it out from seed. For example, I am starting 6 new strains today (sour diesel x miss. mud, C99bx, A11xC99, Four Play, Mob Boss, Prophet), 5 seeds each. I will keep every female, and only grow out their clones, till I find the pheno I like. Power House has a Deep Chunk pheno and a Cindy pheno. The cindy pheno is much better IMO, so I ended up running my DC mother. No need to keep her, since I like the other more.
However, you can't do any of that with one clone. That clone is that pheno, no matter what. RooR Head, unfortunately, you do not know enough about genetics, to understand the importance of seed stock. Especially when breeding, and coming up with new crosses...
By taking a clone, you are already making a copy, and something is lost when doing that. Take a clone of a clone and you a deviating further, from the original strain.
Do it enough, and the plant won't be worth a shit.
Where you strive to have the best glass, I strive to have the best weed.
It seems a little backwards to me. You hardly ever mention weed.
It would be like, caring more about the condom you select, than the girl you're about to nail...

Roor Head has some decent looking stuff. It all kind of looks the same, but I am sure it's good. I'm to the point where I only like my shit, won't really smoke if it's not mine.

Tony: I'd definitely start picking different stuff out you want to try. Seeds keep for a long time, in the right conditions.

i can admit i almost enjoy glass more than weed. its about 50/50 but i still love glass more.
still, im not smokin the primo nugs and don't expect to be any time soon.. i just get commercial headies b/c thats all that i can get... and even those cost me an arm and a leg.
at least i'll treasure my glass longer than my nugs... but if i had clones and kept revegging the same strains thatd be pretty sweet as well. i got the rest of my life ahead of me to worry about getting better nugs tho... and when you bring a clean inline to a room full of people, usually you don't even need the weed to go with it since someone else will have it... hahah i love that feeling. its funny when people pack it and hand it to me for the first hit also, since they feel i should get the first hit. usually i let it pass and let them take that hit anyways tho.
The Toro with the MNP slide! flows real well in person matches my worked splash gurard the best. i turely enjoy this slide cause its so simple at the same time it has that mnp touch. i got to get a good milk shot for u guys just havent been smokeing to mjuch with a camera around.
at the end of the day i love glass man but i much rather have good buds then good glass. i love joints and if i didnt have the money i have i would buy good buds and just smoke js and save my money up for a toro.
but their is nothing better then haveing primo bud to smoke out of your sick glass!

cts i agree with u about growing from see bringin up a mother and then cloneing im just sayin it takes one seed to go to b able to do that thats all. i dont care about your comments toward me sometimes but at the end of the day i respect the fact u can grow bud like that but as of not wantin to try anything that isnt yours is sordda of a weird comment. im sure u would not mond tradeing bud with a grower like joesmoe or all the other ones on this forum site ya know? i mean i trade my bud all the time to change thigns up.

No one I hang out with on a regular basis smokes anymore. Anything for sale around here is mediocre at best. I haven't bought weed in forever, and wouldn't want what I can buy. That's all I meant. I don't live in Cali.
And whenever I happen to be around weed other than my own, its usually cali outdoor.
If joe wants to puff sometime, ill bring the homebrew and some killer Casey. LOL!
