nevermind the cosmetics of the sys. ,the plants look 100% healthy and growing nice and evenly in that system, after all, it is the plants that matter in the end, not how expensive your setup was or what it looks like.... it's all about the buds in the end
Nice one head...Heath robinson my pal did one at OG last year.....if u can be arsed u should check out his new vert grow at ***** H G 420 (i only go there for that very purpose lol) its fabulous... Nice goig though head, how did yor feeding system work...HR had a spinner like i use in th aerocloner at the top of each pipe so the water hits the pipe and runs in a film all dopwn the inside, sort of vertical NFT...
How did yougo about the plnt sites..as in holes cit?? more pipe?y shapes?? im all ears mate, this is the shit I love....
I drilled 2 inch holes in the pipe....
cut collars from another piece of pipe with a v notch...
The collars can be slid to vary the hole size...
The pipes are full of gravel and pearlite...
The hose has a hole over each pipe...
15 min of water two times a day...
Cjeers head thanks for the details..... im designing in my mind t the momet a couple of vert systems....and im also going to have a go at doing one like Heath robisnon is doing now....but im getting an Octagro...and i cant wait..... www.octagro.com....
Mrs Greartful...u should be proud, its fabulous.....
Be lucky now
Well big Bud...I was never gonna be paying for it, but there has been a development.... my friends shop ordered some for a customer, put it together to check it over and decided that it is no way worth the money that they want = £3500....there is nothing in it that has cost a lot to have made or that makes it worth it so fuck em, were diying it now instead(which i was happy to do all along but hey if someone else is paying lol)
Y r u not fan of vertical growing....what wroing with getting the most out of ur lights??? Ill try to convert you with the DIY vert system ill be poutting together...im making one that can be used with any medium whatsoever(except slabs) a small one not very tall woth a single 400 to begin with as a prototype... need to suss some light distance stuff out but ill get there...but its still in the design stages anyway ....
Watch out fo the thread....
..... i just thougt id add my ghetto temoary water suplly....since i started growing at the location...i had to be carrying all my water down to cellar from the house in milk jugs, which when ur going though 60 litres a week is not very stealthy with an outside cellar door, I noticed a connection in the cellear going to the water pipes which could have a tap fitted, I aint got a tap yet but here is what I have rigged up tempoarily....
Just the threaded half of a push fit hose connector and some poly tubing secured with a rip tie, then the poly tubing is connected to some hose with an elbow, the hose goes to whatever i am filling up. the blue stop[ valve which you would tun on once a tap or another run of pi8pe is connected is what i use to turn it on and off, buut i only turn it a bit due to the pressure! Now i will never have to carry another container of water up down the stairs again.
Yeah Zaxxon63 I just couldn’t wait until I went to the shop to get a pool noodle. So I looked around the house and used the 1st thing I saw. A milk bottle lid. Works well.
Bonzo mate, no matter how hard you try all your stuff looks more pro than ghetto. Good try
I’d take a picture of my grow room but its just too shameful. Picture it. 1 600w HPS and a pedestal fan. No reflective surfaces, no real ventilation, no nothing. Grows nice plants though.
dont worry bout it jifto.....mine started out he same...except it was a 70watt hps and no fan lol.... so urs is pretty standard as a basic set up.. ud be happy once u do have some ventilation though......
Be lucky
Harry Gypsna mate when I 1st started I had no fan either. I grew this nice Double Dutch cola <---- only to have some of it claimed by mould. Lesson learned
1st thing on the to do list is ventilation. I want two cool tubes for 2 600 watters on their own duct and fan and a separate one for ventilation and odour control. I have a plan in place to make it happen it just takes time and is verrrrry frustrating.
