I had to harvest early because of an septoria infection and protection of other plants. If anybody has tips in how to battle it, tell me please. Im close to a fresh start.
I try to keep it clean and dry, a good airflow and get all the infected leaves out.

Both plants could look better, they where pretty stunted from the infection until i cleaned my intake, which is when they kinda bounced back.
But the buds look nice and give me an idea of the genetics 😊

First this is thai chiang mai x pck

Very pck frame. Sturdy, didnt like the topping. Strong, kushy, earthy, musky funk. Definitely increased loudness. Purple also from the pck

But from the thai side, we have the flowering time, bud structure and pistils.
Interesting pheno, but i would like a different combination of traits

Malawi/pck (green pheno) x red baloch
Smells not strong, but of burnt rubber. Good bud mass and resin. Early sample was pretty warm and relaxing

Interesting. I have seeds from the same cross ripening and the Bangi Haze mother plants smell super loud. Mine have a distinct smell with notes of garlic or such.

The flowerstructure on yours is more Purple Satellite. When did they finish for you as compared to Bangi Haze and Purple Satellite?

What can you say about the effect of the hybrid?
Sorry for the late reply, not on the computer much!
Both BhxPs ladies finished in the month of October at the 45th parallel (northwest Oregon, USA). One first week of October, one third week of October. Most Bangi phenos finish late October for me.
Effects are emotionally relaxing without much impediment on the body. There is a definite body dimension to it though. Kind of like an herbal massage. I love it in the late afternoons before making dinner and feeding the dogs, creates an end to the hectic day while keeping me going on a cozy evening. I will plant more of this cross next season (I took cuts, but they started to flower at 18 hours of light, ended up scraping those, I wish I didn’t now!)

I recently grew several KA5H x Thaifun Horizon females to test the cross.

The mother is fruity/incensey and potent, but with a weak, floppy structure, thin stems, and low yield. She's a diva to grow - hates nutrients up top (P-sensitive?) but quickly loses leaves from the bottom if underfed N in early flower. I must have also been sloppy with my clone tech at some point and introduced something that has has made her progressively weaker with each cloning. So, my primary goal with this cross was to select well-structured, strong plants that would match or improve on the mother's flavor and cerebral effect, and would be easier to grow.

The mother (KA5H):

The father is a bit of an enigma, and was most certainly part indica. Very sturdy plant, with strong stems, tolerant to underwatering, very stinky. There is a couple of old threads that mention Thaifun Horizon here on ICMag, and if anyone has more recent experience with it, let me know!

The father (Thaifun Horizon, ApeOrigin reproduction):

father-1.jpg father-2.jpg

Group 1 (1, 2, 6): relatively fluffy clusters, small bracts that stack into tiny braids. Incensey, but a bit one-dimensional, and not as good as the mother in terms of bouquet and potency.

1-2.jpg 2-2.jpg 6-2.jpg

Group 2 (5): earliest finishing (8 weeks), lower yielding. Large bracts. Primarily fruity. Strong sedative effect. Perhaps more NL influence from the A5H side?

5-2.jpg

Group 3 (3, 7): very similar plants except for height. Complex combination of fruity, incensey, and earthy aromas. Complex effect matching the mother's potency.

3-2.jpg 7-2.jpg

Interestingly, I don't see any traits that could be clearly attributed to the father. Group 3 seems to contain the winning plants.

Happy growing!

Have you grown female Horizons too? I got a few reg seeds of them too but heard not much good about ApeOrigin stuff, lots of hermies etc. So wondering if they are worth growing/have a nice sativa high?

Hi @Mitsuharu, this was the only seedling that survived infancy out of the 3 freebies that I had. IIRC the others were very weak from the get-go and did not thrive. The Thaifun Horizon pop was a side quest while growing several Thai Chis. The goal at the time was to see a different Thai expression (unrelated to Chiang Mai), and maybe find a male to pair them with, keeping with the general Thai vibe of the mother plants. I got my male, but of course it's not exactly Thai-like, so who knows?

I really don't know much about ApeOrigin or the genetic makeup of the original Bluehemp's Horizon. It's clearly not a pure Thai, unless they selected a rare recessive phenotype (thinking along the lines of New Caledonia II) over large numbers and many generations. I don't believe ApeOrigin would have an incentive to misrepresent their reproduction, because it's such a niche variety to begin with. Someone who would actually go through the trouble of making regular seeds of an obscure variety with absolutely no marketing hype behind it is more likely to be a fellow enthusiast. However, their selections, especially if done indoors, could also have steered the final product to a shorter, compact, bushy types.

Some Cement Shoes x Oaxaca Panama.
The cement shoes mom is an absolute rosin producing monster. I hit her with the narrowest leaf male from last years Oaxaca x Panama grow.
These pics are at 3.5weeks since flowering kicked on. All males were sorted out, all females so far have been very steady sexually. Good trichome production for being early.
Fairly uniform in growth, there is 1 more heavily indica leaning plant, and 2 more sativa leaners in the back right corner. Otherwise they all are very close in behavior.
Smell wise some are developing a candied lemon smell with a rotten fruit background. Others are more musty, dank stink.
So far none of them have the effervescent sprite floral like smell of the Oaxacan panamas last year which I am hoping eventually comes through. That smell is amazing.

Pretty much all of this will transform into live rosin. It’s a love affair, me and my sticky goo. 😜 hoping these ladies make a bunch!

This is one of the more sat leaning plants. She has been the most sensitive to food so far. The mom is a heavy nitrogen feeder so I tried to split the difference between her and what I gave the last run of Oaxaca Panama. I should have gone just a touch lighter on the N but otherwise they’ve been super happy.
