Haha, I do like this thread, I wish I had something to contribute.....edit later....maybe this fall I will. Going bigger containers this year, and 2 week earlier start.

Well I did grow my biggest stalk this year, tallest plant too.
End of September 2022.

My friend said this would make a nice coat / hat rack. (or coat tree ?)

For a 9 foot tall plant the nodes were fairly close together, average about 3.5 inches.

Next year I do not want plants as big as this, but maybe a couple more instead.

Holly smokes, some big ass stalks out there! Our outdoor growing season here is only about 4 months, so a little limited on the size of plants, unless you grow them huge inside before putting out. The best I could do were in swamp tubes and late finishers (beginning of October).

Those had strong stalks, I used them for walking sticks hiking.

Starting my plant for the next year, looking forward to post pictures of a big trunk, hoping to get it thicker than 57 mm, my all time record.
