From the description on the site you linked-"cracked ice surface texture"

Not the best for a nice reflective surface. Would be better using sheet rock. Cheaper too.

Anyone know anything about pollywall that lowes and home depot sell? I want to use it in my rooms, but I want to make sure it doesn't off gas or anything like that... Here's a link to the stuff I'm talking about

Not sure poly off gassing, but this,

Is a much better product. I've used both, frp has a gel coat hard finish.

Why not just use laminate?

I'm picking up a sheet of that same stuff too, but only to line the inside walls of the smaller cabinets that hold my control buckets and chiller res. Cheaper than FRP. Any new un-natural product I install into the grow room itself with lights, fake wood or vinyl flooring, I like to let sit outside for a few months. Most the gassing occurs then.

Be careful when buying from HD or Lowes. There was a lawsuit or something last year and almost all the cheap flooring tested way over (sometimes 60 times) acceptable limits for phthalates & formaldehyde levels. Notice the price has dropped waaaaay under a $1 a sq ft on the cheap pergo? They are still selling the stuff! Lowes refuses to acknowledge anything about it and keeping their mouths shut, last I heard anyway.

I've installed alot of that stuff in homes, to find out later its toxic! Part of me wants to be better than the people that covered up the tests & allowed it to be imported, and tell everyone (that was so happy to see new floors that they could afford) now that their little kids are basically crawling around on a sheet of cancer causing & brain alterering cheap banned chineese toys. The other part of me wants to keep my mouth shut too because I did the work. No one wants to be the bearer of bad news!

char August 27, 2015 Hello Bobb, No this product is not recommended to be use in an exterior application. It has no UV barriers and will brake down over time. Thanks for your inquiry. Charlotte

mcasti May 22, 2016 Do not use this outdoors. I installed this out doors and when the sun is out and it heats up the panels warp and when it cools down they become smooth again. With in a week from the contracting and expanding the panels began to fall of cause the adhesive cant take the movement from the climate changes.

Other than no UV resistance they seem good, but this would be better for a top http://m.homedepot.com/p/Wilsonart-...in-Frosty-White-Matte-1573603504896/203592650

dosent FRP require a shit load of urethane or PVA glue?

i would think that shit would off gas more than the panel itself.

100% Silicone works good to hold thicker panels, maybe he just wants to toss the sheets on the table.

FRP would suck for a top because it would catch all the dirt and you would have to take it out and scrub all the time I would think.
