LOL. First of all, let me preface this by saying I voted for w33dstar, but only because Doobieduck's photo was omitted alongside my own. The composition of that photo was unreal. A magical moment, for sure. I would not have voted for my own shot and with the field of competition this month, and had absolutely no expectations of winning. On the off chance that I would have won, I would have donated the seeds to the server fund. So this is not about sour grapes... But I never back down from a blatant misuse of "power" and your privately stated reasoning for omitting my shot from the voting is more than a bit dodgy.
Why did you PM the answer to my question rather than post it publicly? My recollection is that the TOU says I can't post the content of that here so it will forever be a mystery unless you decide to post it in the open.
Unless my reading of the rules you posted at the beginning of the August POTM thread was flawed, there is no provision for you acting with the type of discretion you outline in your PM to me.
Again, I had no expectation of winning, but when I participate in something, I expect to be treated fairly. And I would hope that future participants in the POTM competition can have that expectation as well.
