Why do they use a word like cul-de-sac ? Why couldnt just say dead-end ?

Because here in Merica we live on Roads RD, Places PL, Ways, and Courts CT. People that live on a court, place, way, or road that dead ends like to say the word cul-de-sac, we just say it that way no shit.
