Poisoned by every day life: Landmark study...

If all American's, knew the true power they have. Change would be possible, nearly over night. Example: Iceland 2009, they indicted their PM, incarcerated the top officials and others in the Central Bank system in their nation. And today, 4 years later, they're doing better with unemployment down, and with that alone, a small step towards a better quality of life. I don't believe the media, but they printed the jist of the story. here:http://www.forbes.com/sites/traceyg...ilized-economy-is-a-surprising-success-story/

I agree it can seem hopeless and beyond our capability to regenerate our land, water and air.

But then i watch things like this:

Paul Stamet's TED talk - 6 ways mushrooms can save the world
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XI5frPV58tY

paul stamets is a legend. the health of the whole planet relys on microorganisms.. really healthy forests have comprehensive symbiotic relationships with fungi and we need them to return nutrients back into a form readily absorbable by plants.. they also fix ridiculously high levels of toxins and heavy metals from soil into their fruits so can be used to clean polluted areas..

one major problem for fungi though is soil ph.. which has changed alot just in the last 20 years..

Iceland banned printed porn and strip clubs, now they have set their sites on internet porn (we have to save the children!). Those officials you speak of did bankrupt the country, so there was not much choice but to change. Not sure I would use them as an example of the way things should be. :dunno:

I REALLY don't think real change could happen in US, for a myriad of reasons, mostly because the inmates have taken control of the nuthouse. I think it is traceable back to Woodrow Wilson who is quoted as admitting he ruined this country.

The toxic substance subject really bothers me. Has anyone ever really thought about how we have become such an oil based society? I live in a plastic house (plastic in the carpet, plastic siding, plastic pipes, etc.) I see through plastic lenses, there are plastic fibers in my clothes, underwear, shoes and socks. I sleep on plastic fibers in my sheets and blankets, I drive on tar.... The food we eat has oil it from chemicals derived from oil as insecticides and fertilizer, our water has chemicals from oil in it now. The toxicity issue points out a lot of certain particular elements in our environment that are bad, I just look at it ALL as screwed up and have to wonder how and why this all happened. My conclusions always come down to: just so some rich fucker can get richer, self interest and screw everybody and everything else.

And the only answer to happiness I've found? Just forget all that shit and take another toke.

good,, sex belongs in the bedroom for men that have earned the right by treating a woman right..

not some kiddie jacking it all night and wasting his life and energy by abusing himself.. or some sleezeball paying women to take their clothes off and perpetuate an attitude that damages us all.. that's a major poison of modern man,, instant access gratification.. drive through burger joints and banks and two clicks away from a "piece of meat" or military propaganda brain washing blood porn on the XXXBOX..

the most important part of the human race is the female and just look what they are doing to the female energy in the west.. it's well on its way to being destroyed, and that was the main thing the romans and catholic church couldnt get around initially,,, 2000 years of eugenics and mind control and here we are..

and one point would be that almost everything is listed in the big book of poisons.. almost every chemical or substance when not kept in check will alter conditions to a point that is unsuitable for life and DNA replication..

still far worse imo than that of the many levels of physical poison is the consequences of the mental poison and the "future" that it can manifest into the present..

cannabis is the poison of the poison..

adult "humans" when reduced their simplest form are little harder to control the minds of than small children.. one puppet show is replaced by another so you could argue they are still children, either way people are stifled in their development spiritually and intellectually and controlled.. one of the easiest ways is to appeal to the lower, carnal, senses/desires..

I was merely using Iceland as an example of change being possible, in this day and age. Yes, their change was forced upon them. But, their is no difference with their situation to ours. This country WILL go bankrupt as well. The US dollar is already worth only .04$, and yes, the US declined after the implementation of the FED, that Woodrow Wilson signed into effect. But with all this knowledge, the only choice we have is to fight back, in order to get change, as did Iceland. The people have the real control, the illusion that government is at the helm is the obscurity that needs to be abolished.

I still remember years ago watching Sterling Hayden (pictured) interviewed by Tom Snyder. He was not at all the arrogant, "my shit don't stink" asshole, I had thought of that he seemed to be portraying in his characters. He was a thoughtful, insightful man who decided his best contribution was to portray satire as his means toward saying what he wanted.
