Please stop me from killing them

Hello
I've got a few different issues going on with my babies and I need some help getting it all sorted out. Yellowing, brow ning, curling up, curling down, they seem really small and just plain dying leaves.

Yesterday I flushed them and put them out in the sun for the day. (they will live outside permanently soon). My PH meter kicked the bucket, so I won't know till tonight/tomorrow what it is.

They were transplanted about a week ago from coco cups, they did not appear to be really root bound. Next week they will go into 5 gallon coco bags.

The Fat Russians don't seem to be affected like the Satori (worst) and White Satin.

How long has this problem been going on? progressing for about 2 weeks
What STRAIN are you growing? Satori and White Satin
What was the establishing technique? (seed or clone?) seed
What is the age of your plants? about 6 weeks old
How long have they been in the soil mixture they are in now? 1 week
How Tall are the plants? 6-8 inches
What PHASE (seedling, vegetative or flower) are the plants in? veg
What Technique are you using? (SOG, SCROG etc) none
What size pots are you using? (Include how many subjects to pot)various - 16 oz. solo cups and 6" x 6" x 6.375" square pots
What substrate/medium are you using? What brand of soil mixture are you using?(percentage of perlite, vermiculite...etc?) coco
What Nutrient's are you using? Pure Blend Pro grow 3-1.5-4, Liquid Karma and Hygrozyme
How much of each nutrient are you using with how much water? PBP - 5ml, LK - 7ml, Hygrozyme - 5ml, all per 1 gallon of tap water
How often are you feeding? every 3-4 days
If flowering, when did you switch over to using Bloom nutrients?
What order are you mixing your nutrients? (example: veg nutes 1st, bloom 2nd ect) PBP, Hygro, LK
What is the TDS/EC/PPM of your nutrients used? don't know
What is the pH of the "RUN-OFF"? don't know
What method of pH test was administered? Using Strips? pH pen? PH PEN
How often are you watering? Every 2 days
When was your last feeding and how often are you feeding? 4 days ago, every 3-4 days.
What size bulb are you using? Tek-Light T5, 4 bulbs x 54w each, 2 warm 2 cool.
What is the distance to the canopy? 7-8 inches
What is your RH Factor? (Relative Humidity) don't know, will find out tonight
What is the canopy temperature? 77 F
What is the Day/Night Temp? (Include fluctuation range) day 77-84 F, night 65-70 F
What is the current Air Flow? (cfm etc.) free air flow from fresh outdoor air 7 hours daily, closed closet door remaining hours.
Tell us about your ventilation, intake exhaust and when its running and not running ? none
Is the fan blowing directly at plants? no
Is the grow substrate constantly wet or moist? moist 75% of the time
Is your water HARD or SOFT? hard i think
What water are you using? Reverse Osmosis (RO)? Tap? Bottled? Well water? Distilled? Mineral Water? tap water sits out 24 hours before mixing/feeding, occassional spring water
Are you using water from a water softener? No
Has plant been recently pruned, cloned or pinched? No
Have any pest chemicals been used? If so what and when? No
Are plant's infected with pest's? No

What is the ph of the nute solution/water going in?

You need to measure runoff ph....

Quick look says that the yellowing lower leaves are from nitrogen deficiency and yellow edges are from nute burn which means....

You are burning with the LK but not feeding enough grow for veg growth....

and/or ph is out and you have lockout issues....

I would say feed with 7ml/gal gro and skip the LK and HZ....I would save these for flowering, although I think HG is a waste of money, especially in coco.

You may encounter a mag def if your tap water does not have enough...add 5ml/gal unsulphured blackstrap molasses for a better organic alternative to cal mag.

Also, they are too small to go into 5 gal grow bags....they need some intermediate sized pots in between. What you get by not transplanting properly is a big rootball with all the roots on the outside and no roots in the middle of the rootball.

Thanks Pete, the PH runoff is 5.5

I'll skip the LK & HG and up the food. I was using them b/c they were left over and I hate to waste such $$$.

They got to be outside in no more than 2 weeks and it's really going to be tough to try and transplant them to their grow bags after they are out in the woods.

Thanks for your opinion on the HG, for that kind of money, it'd be great to skip.

Hi Bosox no problem.

If they must go in the bags they will be fine. I would definitely drop the HG and LK (use up the LK that you have now, but go easy with it and only start using it again if your plants have recovered) for plants going outdoors. PBP Grow and maybe a little molasses here and there (for cal, mag, iron, etc etc) are all you need to veg plants out for outdoor transplant. There is no shortage of all the great ingredients in forest soil that we pay big bucks for in a bottle for indoor growing, where conditions are always less than optimal. :D

PH 5.5 is a little low. I would bump up the ph slowly to 5.7 - 5.8. Take it up slowly over a few waterings/days.

For extra bloom power, add bonemeal as per box instructions at the bottom of the hole/growbag (mixed in with some soil), then plant the plants over it. When that bone meal breaks down, it will be available at the right time for flowering and will auto feed P and cal and mag for big buds.

Looking like ur Mg is being locked out do to low ph or to much calcium from ur tab water. Ro water would probally easily fix ur problems and when mixed with pbp and ur other additives ur ph should come out just right. Calmag and pbp go hand and hand in my grow. 5.8-6.2 ph is where i let mine swing.

I’ve since fed them 7ml/gal of PBP Grow with nothing else using RO water, I picked up some 5 gallon jugs, I figure if I’m spending a small fortune on additives I really don’t need, then I could splurge the $1.25 for 5 gallons of good water. The PH going in today was 5.8, the PH coming out on some of the ones in the solo cups were as high as 6.5, but they were at about 5.5 three days ago :wallbash: , I PH’d down a couple of the higher ones. The ones in the pots are pretty consistent at 5.7.
Anxious about transplanting while they are still small has me searching for roots outgrowing their pots and I came across some bubbles at the bottom of one. I thought at 1st it was just prolly water until I squished one between my fingers and it was more of a gel.
I will definitely pick up some molasses & bone meal on my next shopping trip. I’m second guessing my transplanting options and its driving me nuts , but this is the sick forum, so I think I gotta post a new thread.

Pictures of bubbles and plant progress in a minute.
