the Soleus didnt get alot of good reviews plus it doesnt have a drain hose option so id rather get something else. the Whynter has that option and is getting alot of good reviews plus its quiet, auto turn on. thanks but i got no need for a heat function

no one knows how to install the booster fan?

The one KB suggested only pulls 9.x amps...might have to replace the breaker if nothing else is running on it ad it is blowing ...or your 12K AC is fucked...

not sure but me personally i dont really trust amp ratings and all that from the companies. seems like the electronics always use more than they say. seems like im always blowing fuses easier than i think at different appartments. unless maybe alot of 15 amp fuses dont really need 15 amps to trip it

dude, its easy. get a 6" booster fan at yer local home depot or hydro store. hydro store will be more expensive. the booster fan itself is inside a rigid 6" duct. Install the duct in the last 50% of the length of ducting. you need to "assist" the hot air being sent down the 20 or so feet of flex duct.

hope this helps.

Don't waste your time or money on a portable. Get a window banger and setup a AC Box if necessary. Trust me on this!

if your using duel hoses, your going to need two booster fans.id use a single hose that has a evaporation system (no drain hose).

Those Industrial Spot Coolers are what you need...they are SUPERIOR to any Portable or Window Shaker with or without modifications.....

They are Beasts.... I have a few of them at different locations and they never let me down...After a Mini Split...these always are up next

Suit yourself. I've been through three portable units with that stubborn attitude! Got a window banger and now my room is the coolest in the house.
