you should leave your set up in tact and plant some veggies. Get rid of any pot related items. If they come back then all theyre gonna find is a whole bunch of veggies lol

Hey bro. Sorry you had to chop, bad break. But I'm not sure you're really looking at this right. You killed all your plants right away because of the risk of a search and I think that's the right choice. But now you're in a house with lights, tables and nutes and you're holding several pounds of wet immature bud? I don't think you've really improved your legal situation much at all yet. It will get you stoned, but even if you make butter I think it's wishful thinking that they wouldn't test several pounds of melted discolored slop in your fridge after they find all of the equipment. You've already taken 90% of the damage from having to chop, make sure you can at least enjoy the peace of mind from your decision. Get it out of your house.
Glad to hear you took care of business and yourself. If they come with a warrant, they'll still be able to search anything listed, house, car etc. Make sure you don't have the nugs at the same place they'll want to search.

This could eaisly develop into a Coen Brothers Movie. Here is how it would go. Cop/associate comes to you house tells you that your suspect of growing MJ. You cut down your plants and think you put their remains(RIP) in a dumpster. A guy finds these MJ remains and sets up a drug deal with the friend/rat who ratted you out. You somehow find out who this friend/rat is. Then you go to rob the friend/rat at the drug deal. Only to find out that he was gonna rob the guy who found the MJ and wasn't going to pay. Then somehow the cops come because they suspect hes been a double informant and everyone ends up getting killed except for you. Then your in your house growing tomatoes when all of a sudden the door is busted down and swat comes in.
That would be fucking Awesome.

Speed dry anything that has trichs and roll it in a blunt, get 4-6 dutches and lick the leafs together to make a large leaf, do the same with the inner and outter leaf and roll it up like normal, enjoy yer half oz blunt ;-)
update on my situation..
so after i killed everything (ive cried myself to sleep the last couple of days) i bagged up all the colas and drove them away in the middle of the night. there is NO mj whatsoever in my house, except like an 8th of personal. i tore all the grow setup down. but the equipment is still here. should i move the equipment?
i would love to throw veggies in the setup for those cocksuckers to find but at the same time im not wasting no damn electricty growing some bullshit tomatos i hate tomatos lol i would grow strawberries hydroponically if anythign
so i got about a pound of premature bud drying at a friends house. i hate life. i needed that bud so bad
if the cookies i plan on making come out any good maybe ill try selling them lol.
i really cant believe these dumb fucking cops actually came to my house and asked me if i grew pot. don't they know anything? if i was gonna bust me the last thing i would do is WARN me lol. who knows, maybe i got lucky because i knew the guy. he was no personal friend by any means we just worked together about 4-5 years ago when he was still in cop school. he is young maybe 25 i guess just a rookie or maybe he had a heart. either way i can sleep at night now because there is at least no substantial evidence here.
if they find any kind of marijuana stuff, can they take my grow equipment? fuck it im just gonna move it to be safe anyway. i hate cops. and rats too. really, its alot better off that i dont find out who tried to rat, because then ill have to watch my back for homocide charges.
you guys have been great though. although i thought killing them was best it wasnt 'til i read all these responses that sealed the deal. i snapped some pics of what i did have growing before i ripped it all down though so ill post somethin up to show you guys what i had goin cuz i never started my own thread but ya anyways thanks alot and peace out

I think you got a break because you know the cop. They're always looking the other way when their fellow cops break the law. I got a break from an on-duty cop that bounced a bar I frequented. I wrecked a truck with a cooler of beer in the back and all he said was he knew I wasn't drunk. Any other cop would have had a field day. The driver of the other car raised hell about it but the cop did nothing. I owe that fucker a x-mas present.

Probably not a bad idea to move the stuff since it's already broke down. For future reference, you don't really have to grow tomatoes. Just have a few plants there and run lights on a minimal basis to keep em from dying. The idea is to just have something in place to disassociate the equipment from mj long enough for any potential raid. That 1/8 oz of fresh might be enough to make the equipment a problem if found together. Otherwise the 1/8 is simple possession at most. I roll my own cigs and a buddy told me not to carry the wraps in the car cause they'd be considered illegal. Not sure if he's right but he's been popped a lot, lol. Yep. Even if this whole cops thing evaporates, try not to regret the difficult task. You just never know what could happen. Hell, it might be best if you never hear anything else, never know what they might find in a search. They'd probably tear up some of your shit and nobody needs that. I guess it would be funny to watch a bunch of fuck heads thinking they've got yer ass only to find out you're one step ahead. Glad to hear you're taking this like a pro. Nobody should grow unless they're willing to make the difficult decision if or when necessary.
