Pleasant evening smoke strains

Hey everyone, going to be doing an intensive sativa summer and I'm starting to wonder if they will not allow me to sleep in the evening. I really appreciate the amount of work ACE and his team do on their lines and I'm hoping for some suggestions.

This is the list I have that I will be doing this year. It took so much frekn reading up just to get to this point......I even dreamt of ICMAG while asleep some nights, my better half was not soo impressed:hotbounce

Outdoor Grow

Ace seeds: Thai chi 5 x Fem

Ace seeds: Super Malawi Haze 10 x Reg

Tropical seeds: King Congo 10 x reg

Cannabiogen: Destroyer 10 x reg

Indoor Grow

Ace seeds: Bubba kush X Nepal jam 5 x fem

Mandala seeds: 8 miles high 10 x reg

I have some good indoor sativa suggestions already but mainly looking for indoor plants that will be able to do well under a 400watt HPS/MH lamp, I want to be able to do at least a 3-4 month rotational cycle with them in the single chamber and would like to try as many good strains as possible as my outdoor grow will be my main harvest.

I have an issue with tolerance build up so for me the main important features would be for it to keep being effective, reasonably strong and slightly intoxicating to help with sleep when overindulged at the end off the day and cut through the more energizing strains. The Lebanese looks really nice but I'm worried with higher CBD strains that will only increase my resistance and would appreciate some pointers on which direction to start looking really.

I'd also really appreciate if it didn't have much of a hangover the next day, I don't really like that type of burnout.

My wife and I use the Lebanese for late evening smoke to help us sleep. No problem staying awake if that is what you want but when its time to go to bed its no problem. It is very balanced, clean and relaxing. No hang over the next day with it either. It may not be as strong as you want but you may be surprised how good those lower THC lines are. You could make a little Hash too and see if that works for you

I like the Malawi too but have to use it earlier in the day to be able to go right to sleep. I cant speak to your other choices but I think Ace does a pretty good job of selecting for the quality high. Haven't had the narcotic or hang over problem with their lines

thanks Rembetis, it looks like a lovely strain. I'll do some more reading up on it.

Hi Red October :) Thanks for your interest in our work.

If you prefer THC rich strains i like the following ones for the evening/night time before sleep:
Bubba Hash, Bubba Kush x Kali China, Bubba Kush x PCK, HashPlant S1, PCK, Violeta and Snow Moon, even if you like some with a sativa touch yet still very desirable for the end of the day i also like Auto Malawi x NL, Kali China, Nepal Jam, Nepal Jam x Kali China, Pakistani Skunk, PCK x Kali China, or even Thai Chi (it works great for any time of the day). Hope it helps.

Thanks Dubi, that is helpful. Even looking at the auto zam you have with the more indica pheno might also be nice. Never paid much attention to autos but yours I'm thinking might be a good choice for a midseason outdoor harvest.

I need to go do some more reading up on this, can't think you can keep clones of autos so do you need to constantly keep working with subsequent generations? Sorry for the extra question but it's something I've never really given any thought too.

Edit: Did some reading, so it is possible but a mission to do.

That's correct Red October,

Autoflowering seed production actually forces the breeder to breed (and not just take a clone and self it), constantly selecting from seed in subsequent generations since autoflowering parent plants can not be preserved in long term, you can take clones from an autoflowering plant but they will also autoflower.

Auto Zam or any other autoflowering strain are very convenient if you want to have an early outdoor harvest in late spring/early summer. IMO Auto Malawi x NL has a more balanced and sedative effect, more suitable for relaxing evenings, Auto Zam can be very thought provoking so probably not the best choice to smoke before sleep.

If choosing from the ACE seeds I found the Guatemalan to be very mellow and would not interfere with sleep and maybe help with it.

thanks dubi, it's alot of work behind them and with good crosses like yours hopefully more people will start experiencing better sativa quality varieties. Where I live many people grow Auto colorful fruity varieties indoors and which has always perplexed me as we have great weather.
