I know quite a few people as well . After being on probation for nearly five years , I understand why they opt for that . parole is only 2 years max (at least with my state) , probation has no limit .

SteppinRazor : you definately have a tough decision to make . All I can advise is to weigh your options carefully . If you have no children or significant other , then prison could be a viable option . You'll be out of the system quicker that way . Just make sure your sentence is parole upon release and not probation . One of the biggest drawbacks to prison is everything you own will have to be entrusted to family/friends . Very real possibility that you will have nothing when you get out .

good luck man hope your shit gets drop.when i was busted back in 04-05 for three plants they tried to fuck me over ,but on the last day of court my pd got changed so the new guy didnt know what was going on .so they made me pay a fat fine and do some drug classes which i got kicked out of and had to go back and finish

damn steppin im sendin ya the + vibes bro...and i know what ur sayin about the joint over probation for 5 yrs. bro,ive turned down probation before to go do my time,it aint nothin but i thing yo...the deal they tried to offer me was 18 months or 3 years on probation,i took the 18 months,and turned down a early release when i was there(judicial release is offered for 1st timers here this is when i was 22)
for me the choice was easy,i knew i wasnt gonna listen to no punk ass probation officer and them 18 months were only gonna be suspended,meaning if i messed up on probation they give me the 18 months anyways...i figure no reason to stretch it out,let me do my time and get it over with...also when you max out on non violent offenses ur released w out being on parole 9/10 times here....
the choice is a personal preference,lucky for me i was secure financialy and had no worries...prison aint like the movies yo,they exagerate that shit...worst thing about it is weed is expensive,get a dirty cop on the pay roll and you wont have to worry about that tho.
pay ur house note up for a year or whatever you get,have someone you trust stay there for you.
it is a hard choice but we know these things when we start doin what we do.
if i was you i wouldnt let the answers here influence you much either way,the only person that knows what the right choice is in ur life right now is you.
i respect you for bein a stand up guy,some lesser fuckin piece of shit might have rolled on someone just to save his own ass,so bro

Send a letter to the Judge and DA through your Lawyer telling them you want to get clean and that you are sorry. Use the game against them.

my filter was shot and my ionizer was shut off for the time being cuz it made me and my plants sick. cops where there to investigate me on some selling dope or somethign but they said they could smell it and new it was there - i told'm to fuck off and to get a warrent - they left for about 2 mintutes and came back forced open my grow room for a "protective sweep" NO WARENT. and its standing up in court - no bullshit.
