Plants almost fell over after water from foliar feed???

Never seen this happen, I topped my plants and they gee to around 30" the look incredibly healthy. I just switched to 12 and 12 and decided to do a few foliar feedings during the 1st couple weeks of flower. Anyway, After I foliar sprayed them I noticed the weight from the water was so heavy the plants almost fell and snapped. I ended up using some soft coated wire to hold up the branches that were falling by attaching them to the main stem of the opposite plants. Why in the world would they look so healthy and be so weak? I have had fans blowing from the start and the stems look strong but the water weight from the spray really weighed them down.

What up with that

sorry this brought me alot of joy LOL.
but seriously i dont think youre supposed to do sprays like that unless its veg stage only.

You can definitely foliar into first 2-3 weeks of flower if you have temp/humid in check and the right support...

Some strains are weak like that. Stake all the large branches. If you can, use some trellis netting. Get them propped up! It will make a difference in quality of harvest.

certain strains, especially when topped, will grow long lateral branches that cannot support their own weight very well. Also there is a possibility that you dont have enough air circulation , a lack of which can cause weak stems

exactly. use some bamboo stakes, tomato cages, or trellis netting to support your plants through the flowering phase. foliar feeding is fine up until the buds are formed

good luck!

Yes I decided to Foliar feed just for a few weeks simply to give myself more time with my girls. I'll definitely stop as the flowers get formed. I think bamboo sticks is a good idea. These are DNA super lemon skunk which I'm learning are pretty stretchy due to 60% sativa strain. I've been growing lots of indicas in the past because I was height challenged. Now I'm not so bring on the Sativas... Thanks for the tip...

Weak plants,
I see them outdoors after a rain all the time.
What I don't like about weak plants is you have to smoke twice as much to get the same effect.
That is why I only grow extra strong plants, one puff and you can't walk, you can run them over with a street paver and they pop right back up!! You will need a chain saw to harvest them....
The seeds are available at SB.
LOL...

I grew some bubblegum which were sativa. They had flimsy stems I put 4 canes in corners of pots and then tied string around them to fence the plants in. I still got big buds and is was some very strong smoke, gave me the paranoia lol.

You might have too much red light for this plant strain, more blue light would help it grow tighter cells that make the stems stronger.

Well, it vegged under 600watt MH (Eye Hortilux) until I flipped to HPS. Only flipped about 4 days ago... I kinda doubt thats the issue.

Pretty sure its just stretch and strain related. I just tied everything up with bamboo and the girls are looking great... Ill try to post a few pics soon...

Too much n? Not enough k? If they fall over from a few grams of water already good luck..

I'm not sure what you're seeing there is heat stress? I think what you're seeing are my plants recovering from a slight over nuting situation early in veg. The room temperature is 81 to 82 and the surface temperature of the fan leaves on top is 77 - 78°. I am however pumping some cool air in the room now just in case.
