Plant Spacing Requirements

Hi all, I have an ongoing debate with my partner, he says you have the give the plants ample spacing, so no plants are touching, is this true? I can add plant sites if I can place them closer together.

Anybody have any experience here?

hey vato,
spacin would be required if you are tryin to get light to lower bud sites. remember (dependin on your lamp) the light only penetrates so far 24 to 30 inches. I prefer to pack um in as tight as I can get um, pistolwhipt all lower branchin up to a point where my lamp is lightin the little girls up. as they flower prune out all lower growth(leave fans on). so you have 24 inches of bud on the plant.

LST, toppin and such are techs I always use. especially if your spot is cramped. take a bit of time and check out DiWeeDalats "High Density Sog" over on CW. he really packs um in

another thing you might consider is some mylar to wrap your walls with. you lose alot of light with just cinder blocks. no relection in them. mylar really lights the place up and will get light to lower spots and interior growth.

Plants can touch but as CBF said it will depend on the size you plan to flower them if you wait too long they will crowd each other and waste the time growing i veg, but if you know that the plant will reach a certain size, then you can flower at 8-12" and have no problems with plants on 8" centers. I have done soil grows in 3 gallon pots with up to 4 in a pot with no problem but these where flowered at 6" if I use less plants then say with 2 to a pot I would go to 10-12"'s depending on the strain. Touching each other isn't going to effect much but it is how mites and other crawling parasites travel once they are in your space, so be smart and enter clean so "you" don't infect em, cause they don't get in very often otherwise.

WELL AS YOU CAN SEE I'LL PACKEM IN THERE TILL ONE SAYES HEY MAN SCOOT OVER ........i take clones when they root i bury them to the first leaf on that clone ...let it get about 8 to 12 inches and (CLICK)off went the lights for a 12/12 session ........so pack hell out of them if you want more pot oh and keep them fans on high lol
