Learner 43- It sure is! lol Believe me when I say a cement mixer has been mentioned way more then 10 times. My problem is I don't really no organics very well and the math to break down my recipe into smaller amounts. I looked at some recently and I don't think it would hold one single batch, if it did I would buy it in a heart beat. How many bags of cement can you cram in one of those things? gallons of water? The pile above is 4 batches so one batch isn't all that big but it adds up, I would guess 100 gallons of soil.

Aod2012- if it can be done it will be!

Choc- hell no! see below....

Sneaky G- Wow thanks alot. I try real hard, I'm an all in or out kind of guy. I really treat what I do as a profession because in my heart and mind I believe it is. This room is my dream coming together, it has been a long road getting here and I will be glad when this is up and running smoothly.

xmobotx- It does work good, being able to grab the tarp and flip the shit over after stirring. Thanks, we will be there soon enough time is flying right now.

Also you guys a cement mixer would be cool, but honestly I need the exercise and I am young :joint: But if one will fit one batch of soil, Im am in!!! lmao

Two more walls went up today and some other odds and ends. Remaining for framing is the veg wall and ceiling, framer is just waiting on me to seal up barn door real good and insulate. He will bang that out in about an hour once I have my part done. I need to have it finished being framed by mid next week so we have more then enough time. Power panel upgrade next week, framing finsished, and electrical going in is the goal. After that we will insulate and wall her in, paint, lay pond liner, build some shelves and other custom shit to come.

Sour Bubbles are in 5 gallon pots veggin real nice, been double topped. I am thinking about double potting them into the 10's, maybe like 2 gallons of the 5 gallon rootball sticking out of the 10 gallon.

Alright the soil mix. ALL credit goes to Blazeoneup for this mix, he is the one who put me on to it, as well as the RDWC buckets. Love that guy and without him I wouldn't be where I am today, so heres one for you Blaze! I had two versions from him, I have ran both and decided to meet in the middle and modified it with no organic knowledge what so ever lol

I have had many noobs run this shit with great success, 1.25#/1.5#+ per light all day with this mix. I only starting using it because I came up with some space but didn't have enough power to run hydro. The space I started with orginally was a veg room for my RDWC system but it never ended up that way, I just started banging this out in it. Next thing you know I was flip flopping 2K perpetually with this mix. 1K Veg room, and two 2K flower rooms, never missing a beat.

Orginal Recipe:

1 x Bag Canna Coco
1 x Bag Ocean Forest
1 x Bag Happy Frog
1.25 cups Bonemeal
1.25 cups Bloodmeal
3/4 cup Lime
1/2 bag chunky perlite

Second Version:

The Mix:

2 x Bag Canna Coco
1 x Bag Happy Frog
1 x bag Ocean Forest
1 x bag Black Gold
1 x 30# Bag Earthworm Castings
1/2-3/4 Bag Chunky Perlite

1 x Cup Blood Meal
1 x Cup Bone meal
1 x Cup Lime

1/2 Cup Foxfarm Peace of Mind Fruit and Flower
1/2 Cup Great White Mycorrhizae

Additives:

*****Feed Water Water Feed******

Veg:

1 tsp/gallon Botannicare Silica Blast
1 tbs/Liquid Karma

***3rd week veg add 1 scoop (scoop is in container) of Great White Mycorrhizae

Flower:

1 tbs/gallon Liquid Karma
1 tbs/gallon Sweet (choose your flavor, raw is my fav, rather taste the nug)
1 tsp/gallon Silica Blast
1/2 tsp/gallon Beastie Blooms Starting Day 14, at week 6 change to Cha Ching.

***3rd week Flower add 1 scoop (scoop is in container) of Great White Mycorrhizae

Flush with Clearex 10-14 days before chop

My Modifed Version: <=====What I currently run.

You can mix all this shit up and just add water. I don't even PH it, some sensitive strains would rather you PH it. Feedings help but most indicas will flower in this no probs and love it. Awesome mix for keeping moms, 4-6 months, cut root ball replant, add water :) So easy a noob can do it.

1 x Bag Canna Coco
1 x Bag Ocean Forest
1 x Bag Happy Frog
1.5 cups Bonemeal
1.5 cups Bloodmeal
1.5 cups Lime
30# Earthworm castings
1/2 cup Foxfarm Peace of Mind Fruit and Flower
1/2 bag chunky perlite

I normally do two Beastie Bloom feedings and one Cha Ching feeding if it is a long flowering plant. I feed 1/2-1tsp per feeding. (I know ruin the organics, have another suggestion let me know)

This soil mix rocks for me, not the best, I admit. Getting the flush right is a pain. Try one batch, maybe one plant, add water and see what you think. It is key not to let stuff get root bound, and having a slightly oversized pot helps make sure you have enough nutrients to finsih out the show.

Some plants grown in the three mixes above, mostly my version:

Density is GREAT from the mix. Just add water!

The list goes on and on. Dear server, I am sorry for this huge post.

Any organic nerds out there? I am clueless...Break down my current version and tell me what you would do and why and let me understand it. When it comes to the measurements is where I am lost, math isn't my thing unless it is in grams :joint:

idk man seems like your results speak for themselves

all those FF soil mixes are pre-charged w/ nutes so who knows what's all in there

i been considering the myth of the high p myth and applying the idea to nute curves (kinda non-organic thinking in and of itself since OG is letting the micros decide) but i bet your success speaks to letting the micros do the work

they always get "fall colors" towards harvest but early onset and deficiency patterns can help you read any shortcomings of your mix - somehow i think you know more about this than me (xmo=non-guru)

I got a standard small cement mixer and it holds about 125 liters/33 gal total.
100 gal would take 3-4 rounds of mixing. Way easyer than using manpower :D

Lovely pics btw!

This made me laugh when I read it. And I know exactly what you mean I lost a few strains that I wish I could get my hands back on. And with out question I would be running back in that burning building too. Nice build can't wait to see what sort of AC system you are going to install.

Wow, wow, wow! Been lurking since post #1, but I just gotta say :respect:

Maj. Cottonmouth- Thanks, hope the soil mix helps people have successful crops. It is stupid easy, a caveman could do it.

xmobotx-Thanks, I agree overtime I can see how the plants are responding to the mix and adjust. I actually recently ran across a link for soil testing and I am going to start tracking each batch for consistency and also to have more insite and make more educated adjustments. Maybe test used up soil after rounds as well to see what is left?

Learner43- See that is to small, I don't want to have to start busting down and measuring individual batches of soil into 1/3's and try and be accurate. Filling up and emptying the thing might end up being the same amount of work. One that could do like 100 gallons of soil and I would be on it.

Stussy22- Glad you can relate! I will be running an Excel 5.0 ton unit with the top plenum, condensate pump, heater, and later the UV. In the spring I am adding on another 3.0 ton unit in veg and leaving the 5.0 to do flower alone.

Mugenbao- Thanks alot :) I agree it is exciting, a long term emotional rollercoaster of sorts. I will just be glad when it is done and operational so I can focus soley on this location and shut the others down. Keep grinding and you can get your dream room, this shit was 1.5-2 years in the making, and it didn't happen on accident.

Mister D- Thanks for coming by, and thank you.

So been a while..... I have been busy with all sorts of other shit besides the room, but we are making headway. Parts are coming in, the two remaing walls in the workroom are up, and tomorrow all framing will be 100%. The 200amp electric panel was installed, and it is damn sexy :joint: Hoping to have all electrical installed before the weekend so I can get busy insulating and sealing this girl up. After that, it is all me, and I will dominate once everything everyone else needs to do is done. One setback is getting the funds together for the AC, almost there! Hoping to order that in the next 10 days or so.

I am harvesting a 2K soil mix Bogglegum grow right now, my grape bubbletape pheno. 12 girls in 5 gallon pots, they turned out pretty good for me not being there day in and day out. I can't wait to run this in 10+ gallons with an 8 week veg in the new setup, should be insanity.

Also recieved my 14" Can Fan Max Fan, it is 1700cfm, and uses less watts then the 12 incher and is quieter. It is one of their newer models, it works great! This fan will push the hot air from the veg into the flower. The flower room will be the "lung room". I am building a custom intake filter for this fan. It will be constructed of wood and house like 4-8 high grade furnace filters. That way soil dust and shit isn't flying into my flower room. Lots of surface are so no resistance on the fan.

Recieved my co2 controller, the Sentinel Cppm4, a newer model. Can't wait to have a co2 run! Have that shit in my fishtank and have seen the results. A Sentinel 10 burner propane co2 generator is enroute, also a newer model that looks real nice. Adjustable from 3?-27cf.

Five 18" wall fans came in, giving me a total of six 18" Air Kings, 1100cfm (the shit), and five 16" ecoplus wall fans, so 11 total.

I picked up a heavy duty hose reel, it holds 300 feet of 5/8 garden hose, I am picking up 300ft of heavy duty hose.

I think that is all that has happened lately? More to come, framing and electric will be off the list soon. Roof leaks are a high priority right now to, they will be getting fixed prior to any insulation going up. Can't wait until she is all mine I will work non stop and get this girl operational. In the meantime I am harvesting, vegging, and have a 4k rdwc system 6 weeks in, so plenty to do! 3 rooms are still running, down from 4! Woohoo!

Grape Bogglegum, this is DO SHIT weed. You might do your spring and fall cleaning all in one day, if you want to relax, don't smoke this shit. Hopefully a fresh bag of this will help speed things along. Don't mind the mess haven't had a chance to clean this room out yet since moving in. 5 week veg, 5 gallon pots, topped once, 2K, 58 days here.
