pistils on my clones

I've got a batch of cuttings that are starting to show pistils. I am waiting for the flowering chamber to free up so they've been sitting down on the clone shelf under a 6000K 65W CFL for 7 weeks now at 18/6. I know that's a long time, thought I could kinda keep them in stasis in a 4" pot and no nutes. I'm getting some dying leaves on the bottom but otherwise they're looking real healthy. I bumped the lighting to 24/0 yesterday. How long should I keep that up to reverse them? Should I add another 65W CFL? From the way my buds look There's a couple good mother candidates down there I don't want to screw up.

Seeing a few pistils (preflowers) just means that the plant is mature enough to flower. I've got one right now that's had pistils for over a month. I'll switch the light to 12/12 in about a week to induce flowering. Now if you have buds forming, that's another thing...

Yesterday I thought it was just at the nodes like regular preflowers but just checked with a magnifying glass (sorry I don't have a good enough camera catch it) and there are pistils coming out with the new growth at the top. So yeah, they do look like they're starting to bud.

A week or two of at least 18 hours per day of light should put them back into veg. If your strain is autoflowering then nothing may help...

Why did you change from 18/6 to 24/0?

You have pictures of these? what strain is it?

Just because it has pistils does not mean it's going to flower on it's own. Some strains do auto flower though without changing lighting schedule.
7 week clones if when clipped had not shown sex, around this time it will start to show; not always, but most do which is normal.

They mature get alternating nodes if the clone that was clipped did not have alternating nodes....even though the plant you clipped it from or someone else, if the plant itself was matire, but did not take a clipping that was mature they will eventually mature like you are seeing now......

Now, if your clones start to grow many pistils like it's flowering itself.. then you have an auto flowering strain and there is nothing you can do about it, then to just let it flower out.

Thanks for the replies. It's not an autoflowering strain, it's a c99 cross, made some seeds a while back. They've always needed 12/12 to flower so this was making me nervous. I'll try to get some pictures posted.

FWIW I cloned a Thunk 3 weeks into flowering. After several months of 24/0, clones had not reverted to veg. They didn't flower but, remained assymetrical with pistils.
