Thanks gaiusmarius, glad to hear you got some plants in again this year.... Was it anything like last year? I'll just check out yer thread... :)

Yeah pissed me the hell off they did that... They definitely know better.... I will tell them when its time... Thing thats the worst about it is they both should have known they were mine since I'm the only one that grows herb around here... The sister is such a burnout she didn't even remember me showing her the plot earlier this spring as an example so that she and her boyfriend could pick out their own plots... Never heard anything past we planted the seeds before you got here.... Their cups were only half or so full of DRY soil! :) Newbies.....

I know what happened... They saw the one or 2 little knee high plants, got all goo-goo-ga-ga over them and forgot everything they ever knew.... To me its just herb.... When you don't garden herb, it takes on a whole new meaning I think... Its like a gold plant.... Oh my goodness its cannabis.... wow...... Lets sell it! :badday:

I wanted those seeds, hardly even care about the little ounce or less they scrapped from the premature plants...

I'll probably plant there every year still... But not if they're just going to rip them early on me....

On a more positive note, we got our rain yesterday! Warm sun and wind dried them out before dark. Now we have another string of prime ripening weather... Harvest won't start this year until the end of the month at the earliest... I'd like to wait until mid October if possible... Give em a chance to fatten....

Out for a morning pipe... Thanks for stoppin in gaius!

Still dry as can be... Got a couple rains but nothing more than a quarter inch... Been absolutely perfect ripening weather this season! Just wish I was able to get out there and water... Its really paying off this year, planting in lowland areas... Anything on a hill would be drought stressed as can be right now... I have a feeling they're clicking right along...

Nights have been getting down as low as 45-50 but daytime makes up for it... Just had a 90 degree day or 2 last week! This has really been a blessing of a year for the local herb farmers, but not so good for most of everyone else... Hey, at least I don't have to mow... :)

Harvest starts mid to late October weather permitting... Forecast is all sun right now!!!! :headbange: :canabis:

Giving em plenty of time to fatten... I have all the time in the world... :smoke:

This autumn has been perfect ripening weather. It may be a drought, but the plants have been loving the clear blue days and the trees are starting to thin out now, so more light penetrates down to them below...

Went out to cut the tops off a few plots as a preventative for some upcoming rain chances this week. Its not much, it was 30%, now its down to 20.... No worries, plenty is left to ripen, and these heads will need some dry weather time to quickly dry out... During rainy weather it can take 3 weeks or longer...

At this latitude, anything goes... We go from over 90 to a couple frosts, and now we're back up to record temps in the mid 80's!

Needless to say the plants are happy and have put on some dense, colorful, very fragrant flowers...

Here's what we found... :smoke:

Turtle plot- (Bubba Kush x Bubblegum) x DC) x DC

Dryest plot of them all. Plants were slightly drought stressed, the one on the left was especially, and had a little smaller flowers on top.

There are 2 other plants that you don't see. They got chewed or something and were laying there half dry! Early smoke, alright! :headbange :)

Got the Track plots down.... Its been ideal conditions for ripening as well as drying this autumn. Back to the cold snap, was pretty chilly camping last night. It was a light frost, but it warmed way up today to around 70 and pure sun and breezes to go along... Very beautiful fall this year...

Cut 15 gorgeous (OG Kush x Jamaican Jam) x DC) x DC.... Have a look! And a smoke! :smoke:

Nice I always learn things from you thread. I like the way you dry outdoors I always tie in between two trees but your way keeps the bud lower better security.

Whats the purpose of the green burlap under the tarp????

Thanks hamstring! Glad to help give you ideas.... We all can learn things from each other... The green burlap is a bag that I put loose buds in to dry... Just wedge it up in there so it doesn't get rained on...

Have a green weekend... :smoke:
