pink kush?

Are you guys running such high ppms with the pink and purple kush running .07 scale meters? Seems very high if thats on a .05 scale ppm? Whats the ec you guys are running?
Not sure what scale but I use a blue lab PPM/EC/PH combo meter .. and I vegged kush at 1000ppm and increase to 1800 and then down again. This is 3 part nutrient, no additives my friends run the same PPM with AN,house and garden, etc and works fine. People often confuse underfeeding with nutrient lockout with the kush strains.

Specail K is Kali Mist ?! reef and vision are tight...lol

no the special k cut is queen aka pink kush crossed to an afghani. its the best kush cut period, and I could see reef knocking it off if he got his hands on it. its the nature of his beast.

Word .. what about the guy's put in work breeding outdoor with large numbers to find the seawarp so reef can cross some male to the clone, make up the supposed lineage and rake in the $ at over $100 a pack

And the ultimate outdoor, guessing that's just another untested polecat cross .. breeding is more than one off crosses that you believe will turn out well. Proof's in the pudding I guess, I see his stuffs on sale at the depot maybe i will grab something and see what's up.

but those seeds ended up being bunk or not making it to the customer, if he isn't scamming he sure has bad luck.

i think my meter is 0.7. i know i have it set on KCL. its a hanna digital ppm if that helps. fuck these plants are the heaviest feeders ive ever seen.

The Pink kush is not the Queen(sorry HA). Reef's Pink Kush is a lot more airier......I have seen it growing. From what Reef told me the King and Queen were some of the original Kushes that the boys were using but they always picked the King for production although I prefered the queen for it's longer more complex high.Eventually the queen seemed to die an honorable death.....we are talking over 10 yrs ago so it is probably a little hazy in there.Reef's Pink Kush had a very delicate flavour with a huge structure and was great breeding potential.

The Special k is Queen x Afgani (Same afgani as the Vision Thai)

Just to clear things up

Whats going on buddy? Do you think the lockout I started to see at the end of week 6 @ 1400ppm was because of underfeeding? Everything was perfect before I hit them with 1400ppm. I had to drop it down a lot until the nutes and ph stayed the same. Chopping soon and everything seems to be back on track at the lower ppm.

1400ppm on a .5 scale is like 2000ppm on a .7 scale. I followed this nute regime specifically for purple kush and then realized after the possible lockout that the schedule was based off a .7 scale.

I have read that in rdwc that your ppms don't have to be as high as say growing in dirt. Is this statement right in your guy's opinions?

I also read another local member say that the pk gets a little finicky coming into week7. Anyone else every experience this. I am happy with my plants and think I got to the issue quickly but could I have possible been underfeeding them?

Bro I looked at your pics and all your plants look healthy to me, did they show signs of lockout physically or just stopped eating as much?

I don't know what scale my meter is, I will go look at the manual and find out when I am not so stoned. Pretty much everyone I know use bluelab meters and truncheons so I just follow what they say as far as what the clones can take ppm wise, never payed attention to the scale because we have same hardware.

Oh yeah are you using RO or tap water?

using tap water, It comes out with a ph of 7.2 and 70ppm. I actually mix it with my collected water from my dehumidifiers and air chiller so ppms are even lower then 70, more like 30-40ppm. It bubbles overnight to remove chlorine but honestly I have no clue whats in the water or if their is any chlorine or other sterilizers(for lack of a better word) that does not evap away if left bubbling overnight.

Money is tight right now and down the road I do plan to buy a RO system but I gotta do a little more research to see if I actually need one. I have noticed that I have no cal mag issue using my city water.
