Piney Tasting Strains...Which are the best?

Hey everyone...I'm in the market for some new genes, and would love to find a strain that has a good piney taste. When I was younger, afoaf had a strain he grew that left the greatest taste in your mouth. It lingered and lingered.

I don't care how big or small, how long or short the maturity time, etc...I'd love to hear from anyone that has actually grown any strain that has a strong pine taste to it.

Thanks for the help in this. I've searched so many seed catalogs over the years, and found a ton, but there is nothing like being able to ask questions from those that have grown these themselves.

Romulan and it's dank as hell, too. Tha one and only - Joe's cut. Most Romulan hybrids and other cuts I've tried are all very piney and dank, too.

Some Hazes have a piney taste, for sure, kind'a like a sandalwood/pine/lemon taste.

I had a PTK pheno that had a strong pine taste and smell. Good smoke! I think mighty mite is supposed to be piney.

Thanks for the replies...

YBC...Thanks for the link. Have you ever gotten hold of any strains yourself?

NoNameNoshame...Is the Mowi Wowi you had from a seed company or something you got in bud form?

Nandro...Thanks for the Romulan info. I've never paid too much attention to this strain. Guess I have some research to do.

ojd...I've heard this from some other people as well. I've never grown haze before, but have alot of interest in doing so.

High&Lonesome...I've learned the hard way on not keeping cuts myself. Never know when a keeper will show itself. I never flower a plant without a rooted cut now, just in case. I think it's worth the extra time.

BTW, does anyone have any experience with any Mighty Mite strains? I have read in the past in seed catalogs that the original Mighty Mite has a strone pine taste.

Thanks everyone for your input. Keep'em coming.

indicalover...I must have been in the middle of my reply when you posted. Guess that answers my question about Mighty Mite. Anyone with more info would be great.

Alpha...I've heard about NL tasting of pine from a few people. Which version did you grow? NL#1,NL#5, a NL cross, etc?

Thanks for the posts.

PM dutch grown, if she has anymore of the Pine Tar Kush, that would be the way to go if you want something stable.

I'd have to second the Northern Lights that was mentioned.

$15 for 10 seeds of Nirvana NL yielded me some really potent piney-fruity buds.. Some of my favorite, and kindest flavors, and scents has been from those NL buds. It's mostly piney/spicy up front with a short cure, but I have some samples that have been in cure 90 or so days and the smell of over ripe mangos took over, and is almost overwhelming, but the taste still has that piney-spicy bite to it.. For the money this NL offering, or another breeders version may have a bit of what your looking for taste wise. Go back in time 10 years and NL was the shit.. Everyone grew it, and smoked it LOL, it wouldn't surprise me if it was a NL variety..

bake at 420 until nicely toasted
I grew out a Trainwreck cross (Metro from TK beans) that was fairly piney....also kinda menthol, medicinal tasting.

Sativa Mexicana from Sativa Seedbank was also a nice piney tasting smoke. in fact, I still have a half pack of that i should grow out.

Happy growing!

BC KUSH!
I was getting it ALL THE TIME in 02-03
those were the days-DANK piney taste and wonderful non-couchlock indica high
I killed all my girls by accident but did an ISO extraction and let me tell you-that pine taste was in full effect!
Mmmm...pine

Thanks for adding to the list everyone!

ReeferDan and cooked cook...I've heard quite a few people say Trainwreck has a piney taste. I've never tried it myself so I've got no clue, but I've only heard good things about it.

weaterdayz and Mister Postman...Thanks for the info on the NL. I've had a couple NL#5's in the past, none had a piney taste, so I never even thought about it. I'll have to keep checking on this and see how many people have had this experience with it. It's probably been awhile since most have grown NL, so we'll have to find so old people like myself, lol.

Burt...Do you know where I could find this strain or was it just some smoke you had? I would love to know anymore info you have on this.

You guys are giving me plenty to look into. Thanks so much for taking the time!
