you want as much airspace as possible, so that the bottom can collect as much water as possible in its mini res, i have actually heard of people using a layer or 2 of hydroton just to make sure that there is more space for water

mine is "coarse grain" according to the back, the pieces of perliter are around 1/4" in diameter id say. And as far as what Mad had to say, i have also heard similar things. I've seen a lot where people use just 100% perlite in the res with coco on top, or have seen hydroton in the res with coco, or the traditional perlite vermiculite mix on top

goin pretty good warped how about you? im just kinda in the waiting game right now. Seedlings and clones are now over at Mad's place while the new cab gets built. And waiting for the oil project to begin! just waiting on those buds to dry, then everyone is gonna start seein copious amounts of oil here. breaking away from the whole micro aspect for a while, but i want to keep this thread alive and in contact with my friends here! Once the new cab is built, the grow show will open up again! You should update some pics!

there is one secretly occuring. It is over in Mad's closet currently as to my recent security breach. I have another pineapple trainwreck seedling, as well as a chocolate chunk, and a juicy fruit. There is also a purple trainwreck clone and a snow white clown, both gifts from mad. They will be returning home within the next week or two

new cab really hasnt started construction yet because of monetary delays. I will, however, be purchasing mad's old stealth tub, since, well, he has a "full size" grow now. The new cab, when it is built, will be a 150 watt NGB style cab with flower chamber, veg chamber, and utility box. The tub, however, is extremely stealth and has 5-T5s as lighting.

so the oil making began last night. Did a lot of little runs of random stuff. Theres some lemon ice, death star, chemdog, snow white, and some mixes. The big run that were going to be doing is of Lemon Ice. Thats going to be in the next couple days. Also snagged a shot of my plants hanging out in Mads closet.

Right now the seedlings are in 100%perlite, but when i transplant up i am going to do the traditional perlite vermiculite mix i believe. I love your avatar!! lol hows your grow going?

Thanks a lot OJ. All the big stuff is Madd's, i wish mine were that big lol. Thinking that my grow is gonna be back in my closet within the next week or two. Im only on my second run, so if you do your homework, your plants will do great!!

Home work I've done and lots of it...so much that my old lady was getting pissed that I was reading more than I was paying her attention lol lets just day I learned my lesson
