My Medical Disp has Pineapple Express and it's pretty good.Went up in price to top shelve.Better Quality they say.
I've tried the C99 and it does indeed seems the same as PX.
C99 Has more indica stone as the PX seems watered down.
People wonder where the express came from...it's that the C88 was Racy and was breeded again to make C99 to take the edge off the raciness.But train wreck? Doubt it.

I could see that... was gifted some clones for last outdoor season. At my lat with average strains we start to see pistils first couple weeks of August, this PE was stacking buds by that point.
Grew some pe outdoor last year. They grew about 12ft tall and didn't finish til late October. It smells just like pineapples. Its pungent too so you can really smell it. Not sure of the genetics. Got the clone at a club. Its good weed

I bought a couple PE seeds from G13 labs as a joke right around the time the movie was coming out. One seed fizzled but the other turned out to be the best plant I've ever grown and actually does have similar leaf structure to C99. Doesn't smell or taste like pineapple though. I didn't even know DNA made a pineapple express.
Man it's hard to believe for sure. I got people in my town wrapping up swag bud that's brown around a stick selling it calling it Thai Stick. People rebrand stuff all the time. No telling how much is actually rebranded. The name Pineapple express was out before the movie, people call cannabis anything to get people to buy it. Obama strain was crazy big now it's GG4. What's next?

Pic looks very dense to be a c99 maybe just different structure from an indica. Never saw a train wreck cross like that either...
Just what I was talking about with most of todays knockoff artists going around stealing genetics and even pics of non related genetics. Trying to cash in on the work of others.

I highly doubt it has C99 in it. Just that the leaves look similar.
And I could care less about what the genetics are. I paid like $10 for a seed that proved to be the best weed I've ever grown. 8 years later and it's still by far the most popular strain in my group of friends.

It was nowhere, then it was everywhere, a lot like OG Kush.
Even if it was a real strain once upon a time, that original cut is long lost amongst random C99 hybrids, the way every region of the US has its own OG cut.

Someone gave me a few clones a few months ago. One was said to be Pineapple Express. This is what she looks like around 50 days. Its my first grow and shes a bit stunted but is making these really spikey buds. The other strains are too but not nearly as much. The SLH cut sure does smell like lemons! Thats fir real. So thats a plus for trusting the source. this plant is covered in trichs and very sticky.
Even the popcorn nugs i failed to get are fuzzy as heck.
