ya its a smoker box....when I smoke more/longer I borrow my friends brinkman smoker.as I haven't gotten a new one yet..the little stainless box is great for the grill... 13$$$$ well spent

generally you put it under the grill part on top of the burner...you can either put it directly under food or off to the side...
