Pics of my Flowering NL

Here are a few new pics of my little ones, though there not so little anymore. There three weeks in flowering now and apart from a few timer problems everything seems to be going okay.No visible hermies only white hairs on there way to becomeing fat buds.

This is one of my fave pics cos its a pic of the main stem on the plant(if i hadn't LST'd this would be the top) and as you can see its got nice little bud sites growing on it on the bottom right corner(aswell as up around the head of it)

As you can see things are getting a bit crowded in the horizontal space. I'm gonna remove the strings so that they'll start growing up more in a week. Don't want to do it too soon though.

That orange on the leaf is light burn, nothing to worry about though

Hopefully for anyone new to growing these pics will show you how the buds form.Once i'm finished the grow i'll create a little slideshow for bud development and post it. Or if anyone else has pics from start to finish they could do it. I'd love to see a plant bud using a time lapse camera. It would be amazin.
Hope ye liked the pics. Once again any comments, praise or criticism is appreciated.

How do you get light burn from an envirolite? Did they actually touch the bulb? I didn't think they could throw off enough light to cause burning.
Nice lookin group ya got there. I just love the NL.

Cheers,
SH

Ya they touched the bulbs of the smaller cfls, they grew over an inch one night and when i woke up that was the result. Its not too bad though, only a minor thing.

hey alchemist, forming well them NL, shud easy get 2oz, its all bout yr enviroment, nutes and twinkly bits now. as far as smell goes (and other opinions here please) hav u tried putting an ozone generator in an expantion box at the last point u can b4 it goes out?

I have no probs with smell, i'm sucking the air out and venting up a chimney, i was a bit worrid for a while that maybe people would smell it but, at the moment even if i leave my grow door open the smell doesn't even get that strong in the room and is not noticable anywhere else. So i'd imagine by the time it gets sucked up the chimey and out into the fresh air, if the smell wafted doe it would hardly be noticable.

Not to be a nit picker...but have you noticed that your leaves are curling under, and not facing upwards stretching towards the light?

Just something I noticed while loking at your pics. Seems you may have a little problem.

SC

Ya i'm going to give a walk around the place and see can i notice any smell once they start getting stronger.Only two other people know i'm growing my girlfriend and a felow grower so i might get one of them to come with me. I don't have the best sense of smell. I'm hoping there won't be that much of smell but i'll be prepared if they do.I can fill up the fireplace with airfresheners and pot-pourri to clean and freshen the smell before it even hits the air. I've a bit of money put aside in case i need to buy anything to help if it gets bad but i'm hoping it won't come to that with there only being two plants and all the other precautions.

What do you think could be the reason for the leaves curling downwards. I noticed that but never thought it a problem cause my plant looks healthy and seems to be doing well. Any tips???

My first first thought was maybe too much food. A little too much to handle maybe...then I started thinking too much moisture in the medium. If it's peat based...you really want to let it dry out till it's fairly light when you lift the pot. If it's coco...then over watering is not an issue. Underwatering is very serious in coco though. What are you growing in? It looks like maybe a peat based mix from the pics. If thats the case...did you add lime before planting? If not, are you able to check your ph in the medium?

Please excuse my photography...I suck at it.

As you can see in the above pic...this Nl is on day 30...and the leaves are in a "V" shape going upwards.

In this one you see an NL on day 55 ready to chop, yet the leaves are still very healthy looking with a slight "V" shape.

Even if you look at the pics in the first post of this thread...you will see much healthier looking plants.

Hope this helps.

Cheers,
SH

I'm using All-Mix soil by Bio-Bizz so it shouldn't be a soil problem. My ph is around 6.4-6.6 on average and my temps untill recently(its colder now) were 26 degrees celcius with lights on and 19-20degrees when lights off. I usually leav it plenty of time till i rewater untill i can see a small wilt in the leaves. Could possibly be that i'm using too much ferts though. I've already cut down on that so hopefully if it was the problem it will get better.

Here are a few more pics of my plant which is four weeks in flower.

well I still think you're gonna get a decent yield. Your girls are looking good except for the curling. Something is not quite right. It may be too much food. I'm not familiar with your soil mix, so I assume it isn't a problem if it's a premade mix. maybe just stay on the lower nute level for now and see if it helps. Is it possible to water and check the ppm's of the runoff?

Is your water fairly close to room temp when you water?

Cheers,
SH

No i have nothing for checking the ppm. My water is normally luke warm when watering so it shouldn't be like that. It is most likely overfeeding cos i have been giving them a good feed most waterings so i might lay off a bit on this watering and see what happens.

Generally it is aroung 24-26 lights on and 19-20 lights off, but over the last 5 days they have both been lower by about 4 degrees cos its really cold at the moment. I try and keep the night temps at 18 at the lowest but it sometimes slips lower.
